<br />STRENGTH
<br />A. Concrete shall have 2500 psi compressive strength in 28 days,
<br />B. Test Cylinders shall be taken at the rate of three (3) for
<br />each 75 cubic yards and tested in accordance with A,S. T,M.
<br />Specifications. Further tests may also be required in
<br />accordance with A,S. T.M. C 42.
<br />C, Slump shall not exceed 6" unless concrete mix has been
<br />designed to have greater slump and approved by Engineer,

<br />CONCRETE MASONRY UNITS
<br />A.. Units shall conform to A.S.T.M. C 129,C 145,C 90 & C 216,
<br />B. Cement shall conform to A.S.T.M. C 150.
<br />C. Sand shall conform to A.S,T.M, C 144.
<br />D. Mortar shall conform to Standard Building Code Types M or S,
<br />E. Masonry units to have full mortar coverage on horizontal
<br />and vertical face shells,
<br />F. Units shall have a minimum compressive strength of 2500 psi
<br />per net area of unit.
<br />
<br />G. All e~posed masonry surfaces shall have their Horizontal
<br />Joints tooled and shall be sponged clean.
<br />H. Grout shall comply with ACI-ASCE 5.30 & A.S. T.M. C 476
<br />and be tested in accordance with C 1019,
<br />
<br />COMPACTED FILL
<br />Fill shall be placed in layers not to exceed 12" and compacted to
<br />95% proctor, The degree of compaction shall be determined and
<br />controlled in accordance with A.S.S,H.O. T-99. Before placing
<br />fill all deleterious material shall be removed.
<br />
<br />LUMBER
<br />A. Non-structural grade lumber shall be stud grade or equal.
<br />B. Trusses shall be pre-engineered in accordance with T,P,I.
<br />and engineer certified truss drawings and the truss
<br />layout drawings shall be furnished.
<br />C. All lumber in contract with masonry or concrete shall be
<br />pressure treated. Non-pressure treated lumber shall be
<br />separated from masonry or concrete by asphalt impregnated
<br />felt or galvanized metal.
<br />D. Structural lumber shall be Southern Pine No. 2 or Equal.
<br />E. Nailing shall be 8d at 6" on centers along edges and 12"
<br />on centers at intermediate supports except for first
<br />sheet at roof edge, at ridges and at wall corners which
<br />shall be nailed at 4" on centers at edges and at
<br />intermediate supports. Other nailing shall be performed in
<br />
