<br />~etion wi;li call for a reinspection before proceeding with the building.
<br />5. the oWner shall assume fuJ.1 respo:nsibi~i ty for the construction and will
<br />expect supervision of his Work from the City of Zephyrhil~s Bui~ding
<br />rtment.
<br />6. prior to final inspection any additiona~ fees, inc~uding reinspection
<br />, must be paid in ful~. A written request from this office shall
<br />titute' an officia~ notice.to pay additional fees.
<br />7. t the owner shal~ comp~y with all City, State and Federal laws' in regard to
<br />ial security, workman's compensation, lien laws, etc., wher~ applicable.
<br />8. t the owner shall comply with all the safety codes issued by' the Florida
<br />ustria~ Commission.
<br />9. te ~aw requires construction to be don~ by ~icensed contractors. You have
<br />~ied for a permit under an exemption to that law. The exemption a~lows
<br />, as the owner of your property, to act as your own contractor with certain
<br />trictions even though you do not have a license. You: must provide direct
<br />ite supervision of the construction yourself. You mci.y build or improve ,a
<br />on -fami~y ortwo-fami~y residence or a faxm outbui~ding. You may a~so 'build
<br />or improve a commercial bui~ding, provided'your costs do not exceed $25,000.
<br />Th bui~ding ,or residence, must be for your own use or occupancy. It may not
<br />be bui~t or, substantially imprClved' 'f,or sale or ~ease. If you serJ.l;or' lease' a
<br />bu 1.ding yoti, have built or ,~ubstantial~y improved your:8elfwithin' 1. year after
<br />th construction is cc:imp~ete, the ~aw wi~l presume 'that you built or ,
<br />stantia1.1.yimproved if for sa.J.e or lease, which is a, violation of this
<br />tion. You may not hire an ~icensed person to act as your contractor or
<br />supervise people working on your building. It is your respo:c.sibi~i ty to
<br />e sure that people emp~oyed by you have 1.icenses required by sta.te law and
<br />county or municipal licensing ordinances. You may not, de~egate the
<br />ponsibi1.ity for supervising work to a licensed contractor who is not
<br />ensed to perfo:r11l the Work' being done. Any person working on your building
<br />is not licensed must work under your d:i.rect supervision and must be
<br />loyed by you, which means, that you must 'deduct F.I.C_A. and wi.tbhold:i.ng tax'
