<br />RESt ENTIAL SWIMMING POOL SPA AND/OR HOT TUB SAFETY ACT <br />NOTICE OF REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br /> <br />installed at <br /> <br /> <br />- lee pool will be. isolated from access to the home by an enclosure that meets the pool barrier <br />/~qUirements of Florida Statute 515.29; <br /> <br />The pool will be equipped with an approved safety pool cover that complies with . <br />ASTM F1346-91 (Standard Performance Specifications for Safety Covers for Swimming Pools, <br />Spas and Hot Tubs); . <br /> <br />All doors and windows providing direct access from the home to the pool and located within the <br />enclosurelfence required by the Pasco County Land Development Code, Section 530.4(0), will <br />be equipped with an exit alarm that has a minimum sound pressure rating of 85 decibels at 10 <br />feet; <br /> <br />All doors providing direct access from the home to the pool and located within the <br />enclosurelfence required by the Pasco County Land Development Code, Section 530.4(0), will <br />be equipped with self-closing, self-latching devices with release mechanisms placed no lower <br />than 54" above the floor or deck; <br /> <br />I UNDER TAND AND AGREE THAT NOT HAVING AT LEAST ONE OF THE ABOVE INSTALLED AT <br />THE TI E OF FINAL INSPECTION, OR WHEN THE POOL IS COMPLETED FOR CONTRACT <br />PURPO ES, WilL CONSTITUTE A VIOLATION OF CHAPTER 515,F.S. AND WILL BE <br />CONSID REID AS COMMITTING A MISDEMEANOR OF THE SECOND DEGREE, PUNISHABLE BY <br />FINES U TO $500 AND/OR UP TO 60 DAYS IN JAIL AS ESTABLISHED IN CHAPTER 775, F.S. <br /> <br />I FURT ER UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT THE OWNER AND/OR CONTRACTOR WILL <br />COMPL WITH THE FOllOWING REGULATIONS CONCERNING SWIMMING POOL, SPA AND/OR <br />HOT TU ENCLOSURES, IMMEDIATELY UPON COMPLETION OF THE SWIMMING POOL, SPA <br />OR HOr UB,IN COMPLIANCE WITH SECTION 530.4(D), PASCO COUNTY LAND DEVELOPMENT <br />CODE: <br /> <br />1. C struet around the swimming pool, spa or hot tub a MINIMUM FOUR FOOT HIGH FENCE with self- <br />cl. ing, Iself-Iatching gates. The fence must not have any gaps, openings, indentations, protrusions, or <br />st ctur$1 components that could allow a young child to crawl under, squeeze through, or climb over the <br />fe ceo (pates must open outward away from pool area. The releasing mechanism of the latching device <br />m . st bel located on the poolside of the gate and so placed that it cannot be reached by a young child <br />ov' r the top or through any opening or gap. No opening in the fence may be large enough to admit a <br />fo . r-inch sphere. <br /> <br />2. C struct a screen enclosure around the swimming pool, spa or hot tub with self-closing, self-latching <br />sc en doors. Latches on exterior screen doors must be minimum 54 inches from the exterior access <br />st ding surface. All screen enclosures require Building Permits. <br /> <br />3. Pr: vide ,and utilize an approved safety swimming pool, spa or hot tub cover that complies with ASTM <br />F1i 46-91 (Standard Performance Specifications for Safety Covers for Swimming Pools, Spas and Hot <br />T~ s).
