The sash utilized two (l/S") thick clear annealed glass lites with a 5!8" <br />continuousmetat spa..cer. An exterior snap-in single leafdual dUfO,rneterrigid vinyl-glazing <br />bead secured the grass. <br /> <br />Weep Roles: <br />Two (3/8" x 3/32'') weep slotswere!oeated at the glazing track through the bottom of the <br />top sash pottom horizontal rail, one 4-lJS" from each end. Two (1/4" x 3132") weep slots <br />were.located at the glt;cingtra~k of the bottom sash bottom hO$ontal rail, one 2" ffomeiiclI <br />end. One (3/8" x 3J16") W~pslot were located just above each of the pivot bars on the ends <br />ofthe bottom sash rail of the both sas.hes, Two (112" x: liS") haffled weep slots were located <br />on the extenorface ofthe sill, each one 1-7/S" from each end. Three (3/8" diameter) baffied weep holes were located on the <br />bottom rail of the screen, one weep in the center and one 5-3/4" from each end. <br /> <br />Sealant: <br />Silicone sealant was applied to all the fonowing areas: <br />· Entire bottom of the sill to buck intersection.. <br />,. Screw heads hole openings used tor anchorage of the frame to buck. <br />· Exterior and interior of frame to buck intersection. <br />· A~" wood Smm around the perimeter of the frame secured to the frame. <br />· Cover flange at the sill and header on the exterior of the frame was sealed to the <br />framelflange intersection and the flange was also sealed to the buck/flange intersection. <br /> <br />Anehorage: <br />A :/4." wood shim was attached with silicone to the perimeter of the huck frame. Two <br />additional l,4" wood sbimstrips were attached at each jamb screw attachment to the wood <br />buck. The frame was attached tothe buck using 2" longwbod screws along with silicone at <br />the siB and on the exterior .a."'1d mteriorperimeter of!hefr<L"TIe to buck intersections,' E.~ch <br />jamb was attached with five sets of2" long screws. The header was attached \Viththree sets <br />of wood screws. Each set of screws consisted of a screw located on the interior jamb track <br />and one screw located on the exterior track of the frame. Each set of screws were attached <br />. parallel to each other. The sill was secured using Ii built up of wood that was secured to the <br />buck and then the sill was attachedV/ith silicone to the wood. The exterior of the sill then <br />used. a trim attachment and was Secured to the frame sill and buck using silicone. <br />
