<br />8) Doors <br /> <br />8. Door to be 4" thick single swing, in-fitting, flush mounted, self- <br />closing gravity type with heavy duty spring loaded door closer. <br />Door perimeter frame shall be made with heavy duty energy <br />efficient Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP). A minimum 2" in- <br />fItting door thickness over stainless steel magnetic channel and <br />magnetic gasket, for a thicker door-to-frame to improve ambient <br />heat resistance. FRP dent resistant hard edge frame will prevent <br />rocking and twisting of the door from normal usage. Clear <br />opening must be 36" x 76" to meet Handicap code requirements. <br />Door components must be NSF and/or UL listed. <br /> <br />b. All hardware shall be die-cast, chrome plated aluminum. Each <br />flush door shall have 2 cam-lift hinges; 3 hinges on 36" x 76" <br />stainless steel doors, and 4 hinges on standard finish doors up to <br />42" x 76" wide. Latch shall have cylinder type lock with keys, <br />with round twist knob safety inside release handle, to prevent <br />anyone from being locked inside the walk-in. Twist round knob <br />inside release shall be mounted with a frost-free connector, <br />mounted on interior of door jamb (frame). <br /> <br />c. A thermoplastic magnetic gasket with vulcanized (welded) top <br />comer shall be mounted on the FRP pultrutions groove in door <br />frame. It shall be installed for easy replacement and well secured <br /> <br />d. The bottom of door shall have a thermoplastic extruded double <br />sweep gasket, suitable for medium and low temperatures. <br />Mounted on the FRP pultrution groove at the bottom of the door <br />frame. Door jamb heavy-duty PVC extrusion frame shall have factory <br />installed incandescent type vapor-proof light fixture, mounted on <br />interior top comer. Light fixture to be provided with 75 Watts. <br />Light bulbs shall be protected with shatter proof plastic Lexan <br />globe enclosure, with vapor-proof gasket, and connected to a UL <br />listed wire harness. <br /> <br />f. On-off pilot light switch with Stainless Steel cover, factory <br />installed, wired on conduit between switch, light fIxture junction <br />box and door heater on the interior of door jamb, and connected <br />to a UL listed wire-harness. <br /> <br />g. Heater wire shall be Stainless Steel braided, low Wattage (9 <br />Ohms/ft for -100F), covered by magnetic attraction Stainless <br />Steel Type 400 chase mounted on three sides of door jamb <br />frame, for low temperature freezer doors, to prevent <br />condensation, and connected to a UL Listed wire-harness. <br /> <br />Page 3 of9 <br />
