Company's "5000" Type XOO Aluminum Slidi~ Glass Door. <br />(SGD-LC25) <br /> <br />Test Method: ANSIIAAMAn\TWWDA 101lI.S.-97, "Voluntary Specifications for Aluminum Poly <br />(Vinyl Chloride) (PVC) Windows and sliding Glass Doors" <br /> <br />TEST SPECIMEN DESCRIPTION <br /> <br />General: The test specimen was a three panel type "XOO" aluminum sliding glass door measuring <br />15'1" wide by 8'0" high overalL The left,active panel measured.5'O-I/4"wide by 1'10-5/8" high, the <br />center fixed panel measure 5'0-114" wide by 1'10-518" high, the right fixed panel measured 5'1-7/8" <br />wide by 1'10-5/8" high. Frame and panel members were not thermally broken. One aluminum <br />retaining angle measuringT' xl-lIT:x2"xl/8" thickness was located at 4" ~m each end fixed bottom <br />panel using two (2) screws. One (1) claw-type door lock assembly was located at 39-1/2" from the <br />bottom of each active jamb stile and the center active meeting stile with the keeper fastened and <br />secured to the exterior jamb track and the left active panel with two (2) screws at lock position. One <br />(I) adjustable metal single roller assembly was used at each end of the' active bottom rails. Two (2) <br />plastic guide buttons were used at each end of the panel top rail. The frame was of double screw (#6 <br />x 3/4" pan head) coped corner construction. Panel corners were single screw (#8 x 3/4" pan head) <br />coped corner construction. The interior vertical sill employed a 2" high sill extension. <br /> <br />Installation Fasteners: The frame was mounted to the test buck using forty-eight (48) <br />(# 8 x3/4" scre:ws). . <br /> <br />Glazing: All panels were channel glazed using 3/16" thick teinpered glass with flexible vinyl <br />glazing bead. ' <br /> <br />WSTP: A double strip of centerfin weatherstrip (0.290" high) was located at eachJamb. A double <br />strip of centerfin weatherstrip (O.310" high) was located at each interlock stile. A double strip of <br />centerfin weatherstrip (0.430" high) was located at the top rail of each paneL A double strip of <br />single-leaf vinyllweatherstrip was located at the bottom rail of each paneL A double strip of bull?- <br />yinyl weatherstrip was located at the enter panel meeting stile.
