Low profile design

Description

Radionics' DAS24-VARC Series of Multi-Candela Audible
Strobes offers four field-selectable candela settings (15, 3D,
75 or 110 cd) and a selectable choice of either continuous
horn or temporal pattern (Code 3) tone when constant voltage
from the Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) is applied. Each
tone has three field-selectable settings for dBA levels to choose
from.

These notification appliances can be synchronized when used
in conjunction with Radionics' D411 (two-wire) and D412 (four-
wire) Synchronization Modules. Synchronized strobes can
eliminate possible restrictions on the number of strobes in
the field of view. Radionics' synchronized strobes comply with
ADA requirements concerning photosensitive epilepsy. The
audible may also be silenced while maintaining strobe
activation.

The DAS24-VARC Series is designed for maximum
performance, reliability and cost-effectiveness while meeting
or exceeding the latest requirements of NFPA 72, ANSI 117.1,
UL 1971, UL 464 as well as meeting ADA recommendations
concerning photosensitive epilepsy.

DAS24-V ARC-SWR Multi-Candela Audible Strobe

--~. . ..-:..:._ :__ _ '._4":';._.w,...:~:--
..... ~-":'-:-",~..""
--

. - -- - -. ~"~~_. .----

Multi-Candela Indicator (bottom of strobe lens)

Application

Radionics' DAS24-VARC Series of Multi-Candela Audible
Strobes will satisfy virtually all requirements for indoor, wall-
mount applications.

The option to silence the audible allows emergency
personnel to communicate while maintaining the visual
alarm condition, a requirement in some jurisdictions.

These audbile strobes provide a way to alert hearing
impaired persons of an alarm condition, and are well-suited
for areas of public gathering such as stores, schools,
hospitals, nursing homes and offices.

Installation

All inputs are supervised and employ IN/OUT screw
terminals for quick installation using #12 AWG (2.3 mm) to
#18 AWG (1.2 mm) wire.

The low profile design of these audible strobes incorporates
a universal mounting plate for faster and easier installation.
Each model has a built-in level adjustment feature and an
aesthetic one-screw grille cover.

Install, test and maintain these devices according to their
Installation Guides, NFPA 72, Local Codes and the Authority
Having Jurisdiction. Failure to follow these procedures may
result in failure of the devices to operate properly. Radionics
is not responsible for devices that are improperly installed,
tested and maintained.

$ radionics

A member of the
Bosch Group
