NOTE: If you ore stocking a single unit over another sil"1gle unit, such os 0 roundhead over a single hung, NO HORIZONTAL MULL IS REQUIRED.

IMPORTANT I Before you begin, 1/4" must be sowed off the top end of the V4-.3 vertical mullion before the lower windows ~
are twinned. Follow 011 steps on V4-3 vertical mull instruction she~t #MlILLV43A first. Continuous heod & sill units do not require this. o=J
Note: _ Overall length of mull is to be the same os the overall frame to frame dimension of the mulled units below, including the
vertical mull. EXAMPLE: For twin 3'-0", mull length will be 35 1/4" window + 1 1/4" mull + 35 1/4" window = 71 3/4".

Step 1. Strip fins from head of windows to be rY10unted below transom. R

Step 2. Apply a f\.lll length be-od of c-oulk in the groove on the Dottom side of the mull. ../

Step 3. Place windaws and mulls together as shown below. Note: This mullion con be installed with the hollow portian facing inside
(shown) or outside, depending on the construction or personal preference, Care must be taken not to disturb the caulk line.

Step 4. With a 1/8" drHl bit, pre-drill dowl"1 through the sill of the transom (top window) into the mull. Fasten with *8 x 3/4"
sheet metal screws (not included).

Step 5. Again w'tth the 1/B" drill, drill Uf> through the heads of the lower units into the mull. Re-drill heads of lower unit w'ith 3/16"
drill and fasten with #6 x .3/4" sheet metal s<:rews.

Step 6. The vertical mull "telescopes" 3/8' into the underside of the horizontal mull to lock it in place structurally. To fasten, drill
a 1/8" hole. centered on the "V" groove, through th~ horizontQI mull and vertical mull. Re-drill the horizontal mull only
with 3/16" bit and fasten with screw. For best appearance, countersink and use a t10thead screw.
Step 7. Before lifting into rou<dh opening, drill two holes In eQch clip and insert into each end of mull as shown below with tabs
pointing up and dcwn. Fasten each clip tab to COr'lstruction with two #10 X 1 1/2" screws for structural integrity.
