~tAA...1.; Make sure the deck is level and square, Batten strips are optional in new construction and reroofing over shingles_ Roof decking
integriiy should be checked to Insure adequate pull out rn any reroofing application. Shingles can not be battened over it morEl than two
layers of shingles are present. Apply batten strips according to Detail A. Battens are to be 1 x 3 yellow ptne according to ASCE 793
Standard. MillennIum recommends 30# felt to be applied as a condensation barrier, Attachmenr of felt shall be in compliance with building
codes for area. An additional layer of #15 felt must be used as separation sheet it attachment of felt paper is to be done wlthlin tab.

~-A..2.;. Install Eave Drlp.s and valley according to detaIls. Trim should be fastened 12" OC or 8" on center depending on zone location.
Remember to use inside closure strips between Eave and Panel to eliminate water InHltration.

Stgp_~ Panel placement should begin on the gable end opposite of the prevailing wind. Starler edge of the panel will be the lap edge.
(Opposite of ami-siphon edge). After laying first panel oheck for squareness. Panel 2 should be lapped over anti-siphon groove of Panel 1.
(S@E) Detail B). A minimum of 1" overh'llng is required at eave. Alternative method 0'1 panel placement may begin in the center of the roof.
This metllod involves centering the center point of the panel and worl~ing out to the gable or exterior I1ldges, Often this method is used when
'IriS area covered Is not divisible by 2' 01' tradttional placement allows for a pips Hashing to occur in a side lap. Endlaps must bea minimum
of 12" and two strips of Butyl Sealant; is rElcommended 8" OIn uphill side of lap to keep w8tel1lght.

Step 4; Fasten panel accordin~ to Detail Cor D depending on the area of application. Note that ASCE-798 requires additional screws in the
flal area of the pan at all Ridge, Eaves and Endlap areas. Millennium Metals recommends a #9 x 1.1/2 Wood Fastener. (Ultimata or Zacs
are recommended on all warranteed jobs or coastal applications). Field attachment sl10uld be 16" on center. Trim Fiilstening should be
increased 10 6" on center in 111gh wind areas,

NOTE: Fastening in the 'flat ot the panel is recogni7.ed as an alternative method of attachment and IS acceptable in all areas which do not
require PA-125 belter known as Dade County testing.

~te"p' 5: Any ffeld cutHng must be done with metal nibblers, metal snips, or blades designed for metal cutting, No cutting should be done on
roof, as It will cause iron shavings to be spread and adhere to roof panels, Proper cutting should bEl done. exposed panel side down and field
swePt to remove Iron debrIS.

~a..;. Install remaining accessories suOfJ as pipe boots. 5-V profile vent, ridge caps, and gable flashing. Butyl sealant and caulking are
necessary to maintatn watertight seals. Also inspect screw fasteners to insure that they are instarled properly (See Detail G).

StelLZ; Field clean the ro01 surface with a broom to be sllre any iron Shavings are removed.

PITCH STRUCTURAL ALERTI 5V REQUIRE:S 3rt 2 PITCH TO MAINTAIN WATER DRAINAGE. THIS PANEL MUST ElE INSTALLED OVER
SOLID DECKING AS IT IS NON STRUCTURAL. APPROVED DECK SUBSTRATES INCLUDE 5/8" PLYWOOD OR ass BOARD. F1RE
BARRIERS SUCH AS DENSDEC!( AND ROCKTEC MAY ALSO BE REQUIRED FOR CERTAIN PROJECTS.

ArrENTION fNSTAlLE:R!! WHEN USING FASTENERS TO PENETRATE STEEL SH~ETS THE IRON PAF=lTICLES TEND TO GO AlrlBORNE
