;ltEU;L1.; Make sure the deck is level and square, Batten strips are optional in new construction and reroofing over shingles. Roof deekfng
integri1y should be clwcked to insure adequa1e pull out in any reroofing application. Shingles can nor be battened over i1 morEl than two
layers of shingles are present. Apply batten strips according to Detail A. Banens are to be i x 3 yellow pine according to ASCE 793
Standard, Millennium recommends 30# felt to blil applied as a condensation barrier. Attachment of felt shaH be in compliance with building
codes for area. An additionF.lllayer of #15 felt must be used as separation sheet if attachment at telt paper is to be done with 1/n tab.

g,e~ Install Eave Drips and valley according fo details. Trim should be fastened 12" OC or 8" on center depending on zone location.
Remember to use inside closure strips between Eave and Panel to eliminate water In'flltration.

st~p_a; Panel placement should begin on the gable end opposite of the prevailing wind. Starter edge of the panel will be the lap edge,
(Opposite of ami-siphon edge). After I.aying first panel check for squsreness. Panel 2 should be lapped over anti-siphon groove of Panel 1.
(See Detail B). A minimum of 1" overhang is required at eave, Alternative method 0'1 panel placement may begin in the center of the roof.
This method involves centering tha center point of the panel and working out 10 the gable or lllxterior f:'ioges. Often this method is used when
'Ihe area covered Is not divisible by 2' 01' tradiiional placement allows for a pipe flashing to occur in a side lap. Endlaps must bea minimum
of 12" and t""o strips of Butyl Sealant i$ recommended 8" on uphill side of lap to keep watertight.

Step 4; Fasten panel accordin~ to DetaIl C or D depending on the area of application, Nore that ASCE-798 requires additional screws in the
flal area of the pan at all Ridge. Eaves and Endlap areas. Millennium Metals recommel1ds a #9 x 1.1/2 Wood Fastener. (Ultimata or Zacs
are recommended on all warranteed jobs or Goastal applications). Field atta.chment should be 16" 011 center, Trim Fastening should be
increased 10 6" on center In high wind areas,

NOTE: Fastening in the 'flat of the panel is recognized as an alternative method of attachment and is acceptable in all areas which do not
require PA-125 better known as Dade County testing.

i=!.te-p' 5: Any treld cutting must be done with metal nibblers, melal snips., or blades designed for metal cutting. No cutting Should be done on
roof, as It will cause iron shavings to be spread and adhere to roof panels. Proper cutting should bEl dOn$E1lCposed panel side down and field
swept to remove Iron debrIS.

~aj, Install remaining accessories suCh as pipe boots. S-V profile vent, ridge caps, and gable flashing. Butyl sealant and caulking are
necessary to maintaIn watertight se!als. Also inspect screw fasteners to insure that they are installed properly (See Detail G).

Step 7: Field clean the roof surfaoe with a broom to be sure any iron shavings are removed.

PI1"CH STRUCTURAL ALERTI 5V REQUIRES 3112 PITCH TO MAINTAIN WATER DRAINAGE. TlilS PANEL MUST BE INSTAllED OVER
SOLID DECKING AS IT IS NON STRUCTURAL. APPROVED DECK SUBSTRATES INCLUDE 518" PLYWOOD OR OS8 BOARD. FJRE
BARRIERS SUCH AS DENSDECK AND ROCKTEC MAY ALSO BE REQUIRED FOR CERTAIN PROJECTS.

ATTENTION INSTALLER!! WHEN USING FASTENERS TO PENETRATE STEEL SHEETS T1-lE IRON PARTICLES TEND TO GO AIRBORNE
AND SE"ITLE ON THE SHEET, IT IS NECESSARY TO REMOVE THESE PARTICLES TO Pt=lEVENT r::MSEDMENT AND FlUS'-- MARKS,
attached by a #9 nail 16" on center and 4" on perimeter area. 26 gauge 5V
Crimp panelS were attached 12" on center with a # 9" )( 1-1/2 Fastener anr
