The plans were incomplete due to not showing any of the duct work and the <br /> installation assembly going through the roof. However, after speaking with the main <br /> contractor involved, Ryman Construction, this office will let the hood install proceed. <br /> Please note that this review does not eliminate any further requirements as the project <br /> continues moving forward. By paying for permit, contractor acknowledges to comply <br /> with the items listed below. Should anyone have any questions, please do not hesitate to <br /> contact the Fire Marshal's office. <br /> 1. Shall be installed in accordance to NFPA 96, latest edition. <br /> 2. Plans shall be submitted to this office on the duct information and installation <br /> (dimensions, make, clearances required, etc...) Plans must also show the <br /> make up air and distances from the exhaust. <br /> 3. Roof top fan shall be hinged with a grease containment cup. <br /> 4. A non combustible backsplash shall be installed behind the cooking <br /> equipment from floor to bottom of hood. Example would be Stainless steel or <br /> tile. <br /> Inspections Required: <br /> 1. Li • • - st shall be conducted on all welding seams to ensure the assembly is <br /> • • uid t' :ht. ractor shall supply the equipment to conduct the test. <br /> 2. This review is not intended to be a final approval of the <br /> submitted plans. It is the contractor's sole responsibility to ensure that the plans are in complete compliance <br /> with all applicable NFPA codes and local ordinances. In the event that further examination or site <br /> inspection reveals areas of non - compliance, it shall be the contractor's sole responsibility, at their sole <br /> expense to bring those areas in compliance. The City assumes no responsibility for the contractor's failure <br /> to be in compliance with all applicable NFPA codes and local ordinances. <br />
