Paying for permit, contractor <br /> acknowledges complying with the following items below. <br /> Should anyone have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Fire Marshal's <br /> office. <br /> 1. Ensure any penetrations to the existing firewall are sealed appropriately to <br /> maintain rating of the firewall. <br /> 2. Certified fire extinguishers shall be located within 75' of travel. <br /> 3. Door separating the corridor from the waiting area, the door swing shall be in <br /> direction of egress. Change the swing. <br /> 4. Ensure the secondary egress has either a hotel latch or panic hardware. <br /> 5. If mechanical room is being used a plenum (vent in door or wall to draw air in <br /> from corridor area), duct detectors shall be required, fire damper will have to <br /> be installed in vent, no storage will be allowed in room and room will have to <br /> be labeled as such. <br /> 6. Contractor shall advised occupant that employees shall receive fire <br /> extinguisher training on a periodic basis. <br /> Inspections Required: <br /> 1. This review is not intended to be a fmal approval of the <br /> submitted plans. It is the contractor's sole responsibility to ensure that the plans are in complete compliance <br /> with all applicable NFPA codes and local ordinances. In the event that further examination or site <br /> inspection reveals areas of non - compliance, it shall be the contractor's sole responsibility, at their sole <br /> expense to bring those areas in compliance. The City assumes no responsibility for the contractor's failure <br /> to be in compliance with all applicable NFPA codes and local ordinances. <br />
