Electrical Notes <br /> 2002 Electrical Code <br /> Matt Vogel <br /> 4916 — 20 St. <br /> 210.12(B): All branch circuits that supply 125 -volt, single phase, 15- and 20- ampere outlets <br /> (RECEPTACLES, LIGHTS, SMOKE DETECTORS) installed in dwelling unit <br /> bedrooms shall be protected by an arc -fault circuit interrupter listed to provide protection <br /> of the entire branch circuit. <br /> 210.52(A)(1): Receptacles shall be installed so that no point measured horizontally along the floor line <br /> in any wall space is more than 1.8 m (6 ft) from a receptacle outlet. <br /> 410.8(B): Listed luminaires (fixtures) of the following types shall be permitted to be installed in a <br /> closet: <br /> (1) A surface - mounted or recessed incandescent luminaire (fixture) with a completely <br /> enclosed lamp <br /> (2) A surface - mounted or recessed fluorescent luminaire (fixture) <br /> 410.8(C): Incandescent luminaires (fixtures) with open or partially enclosed lamps and pendant <br /> luminaires (fixtures) or lamp holders shall not be permitted. <br /> 410.8(D): Luminaires (fixtures) in clothes closets shall be permitted to be installed as follows: <br /> (1) Surface - mounted incandescent luminaires (fixtures) installed on the wall above the <br /> door or on the ceiling, provided there is a minimum clearance of 300mm (12 in.) <br /> between the luminaire (fixture) and the nearest point of a storage space <br /> (2) Surface- mounted fluorescent luminaires (fixtures) installed on the wall above the <br /> door or on the ceiling, provide there is a minimum clearance of 150mm (6 in.) <br /> between the luminaire (fixture) and the nearest point of a storage space <br /> (3) Recessed incandescent luminaires (fixtures) with a completely enclosed lamp <br /> installed in the wall or the ceiling, provided there is a minimum clearance of 150mm <br /> (6 in.) between the luminaire (fixture) and the nearest point of a storage space <br /> (4) Recessed fluorescent luminaires (fixtures) installed in the wall or the ceiling , <br /> provided there is a minimum clearance of 150mm (6 in.) between the luminaire <br /> (fixture) and the nearest point of a storage space <br /> 07/17/02 <br /> 7:59 AM <br />
