You ha.ve applied for a permit uader an exemption to that law. The exemption allows you, as the o�•mer of' yovr property, to act as your own contractor with cert=;T restrictions even though you do not have a licease. You must provide direct onsite supervisioa of the coastruction yourself. You may build or improve a one-family or two-family resideace or a fatm outbuilding. You may also build or improne a c�+*�* buildiag, provided your costs do aot �ceed $25,000. The builcling or resideace must be for yovs own use or occupaacy. Zt may not be built or substantially 3.�proved for sale or lease. If you se1:1 or lease a building you have built or substaatially i�prcved yourself witt�in 1 year after the construction is complete, the lafr arill pres�e •that you .built or substantially improved�if for sale or laase, which is a violation of this PX emption. You may not hire an ualicerisad person to act as your coatsactor or to supervise people working on your building. It is your respoasiUility to make suse that people employed by you have liceases rern by state law and by county or municipal licensing ordinaaces. You may aot delegate the responsibility for supervisi.ng �oork to a liceased contsactor who is not licensed to perform the �oork beiag dna�.
