By paying for the permit, contractor <br /> acknowledges to comply with the item below. Should anyone have any questions, please do not <br /> hesitate to contact the Fire Marshal's office. <br /> 1. This 1 hour firewall is ok to be built in this space; however, without knowing <br /> what type of occupancy will be going into the space, the wall may have to be <br /> upgraded to a 2 hour firewall. It is my recommendation to install a 2 hour versus <br /> a 1 hour wall to eliminate the concern. This holds true to the adjacent separation <br /> walls. If the wall shall change to a 2 hour submit new UL design. <br /> 2. Wall shall be fire caulked at the roof deck and labeled as 2 HOUR FIRE WALL- <br /> DO NOT PENETRATE. <br /> Inspections Required: <br /> l . Firewall screw inspection <br /> 2. Firewall Fi <br /> KERRY BARNETT, FIRE MARSHAL <br /> ***Please be advised this review of plans submitted is a cursory review to assist the contractor in <br /> compliance with applicable fire safety codes. This review is not intended to be a finai approval of the <br /> submitted plans. It �s the contractor's sole responsibility to ensure that the plans are in complete compliance <br /> with all applicable NFPA codes and local ordinances. In the event that further examination or site <br /> inspection reveals areas of non-compliance, it shall be the contractor's sole responsibility, at their sole <br /> expense to bring those areas in compliance. The City assumes no responsibility for the contractor's failure <br /> to be in compliance with all applicable NFPA codes and local ordinances. <br />
