Motion passed unanimously. <br /> 4 Application for a Historic District "Certificate of Appropriateness" submitted bv Scott and Lori <br /> Mver for their qropefir located at 5411 10th Street (File 8PA812) to do a aartial re-roofinq on <br /> one of the additions to their home (existina flat roof) and an addition to rear of house that would <br /> be enlarqinq the addition to the oriQinal structure. <br /> The reviewed to plans and roofing materials that was submitted by the applicant. The <br /> plans showed the present addition and what renovations that they are proposing. The subject <br /> addition is non-conforming and not part of the original contributing structure. Mr. Back <br /> suggested that when people are adding additions, they should submit a site plan so that the <br /> Board can see how the structure fits on the property. Mr. Back also pointed out that the <br /> improvements to the roof will actually enhance the appearance of the structure. He stated the it <br /> is obviously such a low pitch roof that you cannot put metal on it anyway — it has to be some <br /> kind of built-up roof. <br /> The Board concurred with Mr. Back's recommendation: the window style should be <br /> equal to or complimentary of the windows that were original architectural style in the house. <br /> Bill Back moved to approve both Certificate of Appropriateness for Scott and Lori Myer <br /> as submitted for the addition of the utility room and renovations to the existing family room and <br /> include the upgrades to the flat or low pitch roof section with the previous notation regarding the <br /> windows. Motion was seconded by Jason Aiken. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> Jason also pointed that in Tallahassee there is a Department with Master Site Files that <br /> they will share with City Planners. The files have the archeology info but also the Historical data <br /> and the file numbers we have assigned for the Historical Preservation Survey Files identify the <br /> properties.
