Paying for permit contractor acknowledges complying with the items <br /> listed below. Should anyone have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Fire <br /> Marshal's office <br /> 1. Ensure there are certified fire extinguishers within this space. Extinguishers shall <br /> be within 75 feet. <br /> 2. At building final a key to the business shall be made available so it may be placed <br /> in the knox box outside. <br /> 3. Ensure egress is not obstructed going through break room. <br /> 4. Ensure exit and emergency lighting is installed and working. Ensure there is an <br /> emergency light in the rear room and rest room, if not currently there. <br /> 5. If there is to be any single change to the fire alarm or fire sprinkler system a <br /> permit will be required. Depending on the change plans may be required to obtain <br /> the permit. <br /> 6. Ensure any penetrations to firewalls are properly sealed with rated fire caulk. <br /> Inspection Required: <br /> l. Firewall penetration check <br /> 2. Final <br /> KERRY ARNETT, FIRE MARSHAL <br /> ***Please be advised this review of plans submitted is a cursory review to assist the contractor in <br /> compliance with applicable fire safety codes. This review is not intended to be a final approval of the <br /> submitted plans. It is the contractor's sole responsibility to ensure that the plans are in complete compliance <br /> with all applicable NFPA codes and local ordinances. In the event that further examination or site <br /> inspection reveals areas of non-compliance, it shall be the contractor's sole responsibility, at their sole <br /> expense to bring those areas in compiiance. The City assumes no responsibility for the contractor's failure <br /> to be �n compliance with all applicable NFPA codes and local ordinances. <br />
