WOOD DECK SYSTEM LIlVIITATIONS:
I. A slip sheet is required with P[y 4 and Ply 6 when vsed as a mechanically fastened base or anchor
sheet.
GENERAL LIlYIITATIONS:
1. Fire classification is not part of this acceptance, refer to a current Approved Roofmg Materiais
Directory for fire ratings of this product.
2. Insulation may be installed in multiple layers. The first layer shal] be attached in compliance with
asphalt applied within the EVT range and at a rate of 20-40 IbsJsq., or mechanically attached using
tfie fastening pattem of the top layer
3. All standard panel sizes are acceptable for mechanical attachment. When applied in approved
asphalt, panel size shall be 4' x 4' mimum.
4. An overlay and/or recovery board insulation panel is required on all applicaiions over closed cell
foam insulations whett the base sheet is fully mopped. If no recovery board is used the base sheet
shall be apptied nsing spot mopping with approved asphait, 12^ diameter circles, 24" o.c.; or strip
mopped 8" ribbons in three rows, one at each sidelap and one down the centea- of the sheet altowing a
continuous area of ven#ilation. Encirciing of the spips s not acceptable. A 6" break shall be placed
every 12` in eh ribbon to allow cross ventilation. Asphaft appc, ation of either system shall be at a
minimum rate of 12 Ibs./sq.
Note: Spot attached systems shall be limited to a mamum design pressare of -45 psf.
5. Fastener spacing for insulation attachment is based on a Minimum Characteristic Force (F'} value of
275 Ibf., as tested in compliance with Testing A}lication Standatd TAS 2 O5. If the fastener value,
as field-tested, are below 2751bf. insulation attachment s6a11 not be acceptable.
6. Fastener spacing for mechanical attachment of anchor/base sheet or membrane attachment is based
on a minimum fastener resistance val m conjnnetion with the mimum design value listed within
a specific system. Should the fastener resistance be less than that required, as determined by the
Building Official, a revis fastener spacing, prepareci, signed and sealed by a Florida Registered
Engineer, Architect, or Registered Roof Consuhant may be submitted. Said revised fastener spacing
shall utilize the withdrawal resistance value taken from Testing Application Standards TAS I OS and
calcuiations in compliance with Raofing Application Standard RAS 117.
7. Perimeter and corner areas shall compiy with the enhanced uplif} pressure requirents of these
areas. Fastener densiries shall be inereased for both insuiation and base sheet as calculated in
compliance with Roofing Appliartion Standerd RAS 117. Caicu[ations prepared, signed and sealed
by a Florida registered pcofessiona Engineer, Registered Aschibect, or Registered Roof Consultant
(When this limitaiion is specficaHy regerned withg tis NOA, General Limition #9 will not be
applicable.)
8. All attac:hment and sizing of perirneter nai)ers, metal pmfile, and/or flashing termination designs shall
conform with Roofing Application Standard RAS 11 l and applicable wind toad requirements.
9. The maximum designed pressure limitation fisted shall be applicabie to all roof pressure wnes (i.e.
field, perimeters, and comeis), Neither rahonal aysis, nor extrapolation shall be permitted for
enhanced fastening at enhanced pressure zones (i.e. periu►eters, eactended corners and corners).
(When this. limitation is specificlty referred witlin this NOA, General Limitatioo #7 will not be
applicable.)
END OF THIS ACCEPTANCE
NOA No.: 07-1018.14
- Eapitation Date: 08l22/12
• Approvai Date: 02/'2I/OS
Page ld of 10
