Correcting these deficiencies will ensure <br /> the building is compliant to the Florida Fire Prevention Code and provide the safety <br /> you're your occupants need. Each deficiency is listed below along with a time frame it <br /> shall be corrected in. Should you or anyone else have any questions associated with this, <br /> please do not hesitate to contact me at your earliest convenience. <br /> 1. The fire alarm system is currently out of date and possibly not compliant. A <br /> certified fire alarm contractor sha11 recertify the system and correct any deficiency <br /> found with the system. (within 30 days of the purchase of the property) <br /> 2. The stairwell and upstairs corridor shall be rated with a minimum 1 hour rating. <br /> Plans will need to be submitted showing how the rating will be achieved. (prior <br /> to occupants moving into apartments) <br /> 3. A compliant 2" level egress shall be installed in accordance to the code which <br /> would also include install a fiill size egress door with panic hardware. Plans sha11 <br /> be submitted for approval. (prior to occupants moving into apartments) <br /> 4. Exit signs shall be installed upstairs above the exit door and above the stairwell <br /> going down. Ensure there is emergency lighting in that comdor as well. (prior <br /> to occupants moving into apartments) <br /> 5. Ensure there are proper working smoke detectors inside each bedroom and <br /> outside each bedroom of each apartment upstairs. Ensure there is a pull sta.tion <br /> upstairs with a horn/strobe to notify the occupants of the apartments. (prior to <br /> occupants moving into apartments) <br /> 6. Install a fire sprinkler system that would protect the propertied doumstairs within <br /> the building and the stairwell and corridor upstairs. Fire sprinkler system shall be <br /> monitored by the fire alarm system. Pians would need to be submitted for this <br /> installation. (plans shall be submitted for permitting within 12 months of the <br /> property purchase date and then completed 6 months after) <br />
