At this time the project will be allowed to move forward. Paying for permit, the contractor agrees <br /> and will comply with the comments below. Should anyone have any questions, please do not hesitate to <br /> contact the Fire Marshal's office. <br /> 1. A lightweight truss sign shall be installed on the street side of the building in accordance to the <br /> statute. An "RF" sign is the one required. <br /> 2. Egress cannot be through a storage room. The exit sign by the handicap restroom can be removed. <br /> lt is not required. <br /> 3. There can be no storage in the upper level area (A/C area). [t is meant for mechanical only. <br /> 4 Secondary egress doors shall have panic hardware or a hotel latch. Only a single motion is <br /> al lowed. <br /> 5 Certified fire extinguishers shall be distributed around the store area so that travel distance is <br /> within 75 feet. Ensure extinguishers are in a highly visible area. 2A:I OBC are the required type of <br /> extinguishers. <br /> 6. There can be no storage within 3 feet of the electric panels (includes sides and front) in the rear <br /> storage. To help with this, paint a yellow box on the floor with hash lines through it. <br /> 7. The rear portion of this occupancy may become a 2" tenant in the future. Should that occur, a fire <br /> separation will be required between the two tenants. The separation (floor to ceiling) will most <br /> likely be a 2 hour separation. <br /> 8. Install a 30 minute rated door on 2" level entering the residential. This is to keep with the rating of <br /> the wall within the residential that faces the interior. <br /> lnspection(s) Required: <br /> 1. This review is not intended to be a final approval of the <br /> submitted plans. It is the contractor's sole responsibility to ensure that the plans are in complete compliance <br /> with all applicable NFPA codes and local ordinances. In the event that further examination or site <br /> inspection reveals areas of non-compliance, it shall be the contractor's sole responsibility, at their sole <br /> expense to bring those areas in compliance.
