You may also build ar improve a commercial building, provided your costs do not �xceed $25,000. Ttae building or residence must be for your o�a use or occupancy. It may i�iot be bvilt or substantially i.mproved for sale or lease. If you sell or lease a bvilding you have built or substantially improved yourself within 1 year after the constxtictioa is complete, the law will presume •that you built or substantially i.mproved if for sale or lease, which is a violation of this eaempti.on. You may not hire aa unlicensad person to act as your contractor or to supervise people wosking on your building. It is your responsibility to make sure that people employed by you have licenses re?,;red by state law and by county or municipal liceasing ordinances.
