Zephyrhills Fire Rescue
6907 Dairy Road, Zephyrhills, FL 33542
Fire Chief Bus (813) 780-0041
Keith Williams Fax (813) 780-0044
August 30, 2012
Plan Review#: N/A
Project: Annual Permit Request from Sky Dive City—Recreational Burn
Numbers of Pages: Packet
Zephyrhills Fire Rescue has received your request for an annual recreational burn permit for
recreational burning, previously viewed the hand-drawn site location, and visited the site located
at Sky Dive City. A fee of$25.00 per occurrence was established by City Resolution 603-08.
However, due to special circumstances associated with Sky Dive City regarding their location
and the number of times this could take place, an annual permit was previously granted at a fee
this authority and Sky Dive City felt was reasonable. Your request is granted for an annual
permit once again. The conditions listed below shall be followed and site inspections may be
conducted during the permit's timeframe to ensure compliance.
1. Only natural wood (yard related trash), such as tree trimmings, trees, logs, stumps, etc.
may be burned. The burning of lumber, plastics, garbage, rubber, etc. will not be
allowed.
2. The height of the burn pile shall not exceed six feet in height.
3. Water shall be readily available at the site.
4. The burn location shall be 50 feet from any building.
5. The reserve pile (product to be burned) shall be a minimum of 25 feet away from fire site.
6. At times when the drought conditions are existent and a burn ban has been implemented
by a governing authority, the permit will be suspended until the ban is lifted.
NOTE: If any of the above requirements are not followed, the annual permit may be suspended
or revoked. It goes without saying that permitted burning should be restricted during
environmental conditions that may allow uncontrolled spread and subsequent damage.
Should anyone have any questions, please contact the Administrative Office of Zephyrhills Fire
Rescue at the above number.
Sincerel ,
,c.le(-(Y`-
Keith A.
