The undersigned states and affirms that he or she is desirous of constructing, renovating, adding to or seroofing his or her own domicile, •that he or she actually occupies, or wi11 occupy by said domicile, and same is not for •rent, lease or sale. That he or she shall comply �+rith the following conditions: 1. That the owtier aad.he or she alone sha11 act as the builder for al1 phases of construction. . 2. That the owner wi11 comply with a11 provisions of the City of Zephyrhills ordinances and codes �+�+;nent to the buildiag. 3. That in the event various phases of construction are subcontracted, he wi11 engage only properly licensed subcontractors and will personally supervise such work. 4. That in the event �e Building Znspector sha11 rez+,;re corrections to be made, the o�asier will assume f'ull responsibility to insure •they are made, and upon completion will ca1�1 for a reinspection before proceeding with the building. 5. That the owner sha11 assume fu11 responsibility for the construction aad wi11 siot axpect_ supervision of his work from the City of Zephyrhills Building Depar�exit. 6. T2iat prior to final inspection any additional fees, including reinspection fees, must be paid ia fu11. A writtan request from this office shall constitute an official notice -to pay additional fees. 7. That the owner sha11 camply with a11 City, State and Eederal laws in regatd to social security, workman's compensation, lien laws, etc. , where applicable. B. That the ownFS shaI.l comply with a11 the safety codes issued by the Floricia Iadustsial Commission. 9. State 1aw re��ires constxziction to be done by licensed contractors. You have applied for a permit under an exemptian to that law. The exemption allows you, as the owrler of yovr prope,'rty, to act as your own contractor with cer+-=;*+ restsictions enen though you do not have a license. You must provide direct onsite supervision of the coastniction yourself. You may build or improve a one-family or two-family residence or a farm outbuilcling. You may also build or improve a commercial building, provided your costs do not exceed $25,000. The building or resideace must be for your o�asi use or occupancy. It may not be bnilt or substaatially improved for sale or lease. If you sell or lease a building you have built or su2�stantially improved yourself within 1 year after the constniction is complete, trse law wi11 presume .that you built or substantially improved if for sale or lease, which is a violation of this EXemption. You may not hire an unliceasad person to act as your contractor or to supErvise people workiag on your building. 2t is your responsibility to make sure that people e�ployed by you hane licenses re?,;red by state law and by county or municipal licensing ordinances. You may not delegate the respoasibility for supervisa.ng work to a licensed contractor who is not licensgd to perform t�ae work beasag doaa. Any person working on your building who is not liceased must work un3er your direct supervision and must be e�ployed by you, which meaas that you must deduct E.I.C.A. and withholding tax and provide workers' compeasation for that employee, a11 as prescribed by law.
