You must provide direct onsite supervision of' the constxlaction yourself. You may build or improve a one-family or two-family residence or a farm outl�uilding. You may also build or improve a commercial building, provided yovr costs do not exceed $25,000. The building or resideace must be for yovr own use or occupancy. 2t may not be built or substantially improved for sale or lease. If you sell or lease a buildiag you have built or sut�stantially i�proved yourself witlzin 1 year after t2�e construction is complete, the la� wi11 pres�e that you built or substantially improved if for sale or lease, which is a violation of this EXemption. You may not hire an unlicenssd person to act as your contsactor or to supervise people working on your building. It is your responsibility to make sure that people employed by you have licenses re?,;red by state law and by county or municipal licensing ordiaances. You may not delegate the responsibility for supervisa.ng work to a licensed contractor who is not 1icSnsed to perform the work being doaa.
