That the owner and.he or she alone sha11 act as the builder far all phases of constsuction. 2, That the owner will comply with al1 provisions of the City of Zephyrhills ordinances and codes pEx'tinent to the buildiag. 3. That in the event various phases of construction are subcontracted, he will engage only properly licensed subcontsactors and will pPSSOna1�y supervise such work. 4. That in the event the Building Inspector sha11 rac�,;re corrections to be made, �-he owner will assume full responsibility -to insure •tYiey are made, and upon completion wi11 ca17 for a reinspectioa be£ore proceeding with the building. 5. That the owner sha11 comply vrith a11 City, State and Federal laws in regasd to social security, workman's compensation, lien 1aws, etc. , where applicable. 8. You have applied for a pexmit under an exempti.on to that law. The exemption allows you, as the owner o£ yovr prOpPSty, to act as your own contsactor with certain sestsictions even t�iough you do not have a license. You must provide direct onsite supervision of' the cosistxliction yourself. You may bvild or improve a one-family or two-family residence or a farm outbuilding. You may also build or improve a commercial building, provided your costs do aot exceed $25,000. The building or residence must be for your own use or occupancy. It may not be built or substaati.ally improved for sale or lease. If you sell or lease a bvilding you have built or substantially improved yourself within 1 year after the cons'tsuction is complete, the lax will presume •that you built or substantially improved �if for sale or lease, which is a violation of this E�Xemptioa. You may not hire an unlicensad person to act as your contsactor or to supervise people working on your building. It is your responsibility to make sure that people employed by you have licesises rei,;red by state law and by county or murii.ci.pal liceasing ordinances. You may not delegate the responsibility for supervising work to a licensed contractor who is not licensed to perform the mork beiag dnae. Any person wor3cing on your building , who is not licensed must work under yovr di.rect supercrision and must be P��]loyed by you, which means that you must deduct F.I.C.A. and withholding tax and provide workers' compensation for that employee, all as prescribed by law.
