That prior to final inspection aay additional fees, including reinspection <br /> feas, must be paid ia ful1. A writtan request from this office shall <br /> constitute an official notice to pay additioxial. fees. <br /> 7. That the owner sha11 comply vrith a11 City, State and Federal laws in regasd to <br /> social security, workman's compensation, lien 1aws, etc. , where applicable. <br /> 8. That the owner sha11 comply with a11 the safety codes issued by the Florida <br /> Industsial C�++�ssion. <br /> 9. State 1aw rem,;�*-es constzziction to be done by licensed contsactors. You have <br /> applied for a pexmit under an exempti.on to that law. The exemption allows <br /> you, as the owner o£ yovr prOpPSty, to act as your own contsactor with certain <br /> sestsictions even t�iough you do not have a license. You must provide direct <br /> onsite supervision of' the cosistxliction yourself. You may bvild or improve a <br /> one-family or two-family residence or a farm outbuilding. You may also build <br /> or improve a commercial building, provided your costs do aot exceed $25,000. <br /> The building or residence must be for your own use or occupancy. It may not <br /> be built or substaati.ally improved for sale or lease. If you sell or lease a <br /> bvilding you have built or substantially improved yourself within 1 year after <br /> the cons'tsuction is complete, the lax will presume •that you built or <br /> substantially improved �if for sale or lease, which is a violation of this <br /> E�Xemptioa. You may not hire an unlicensad person to act as your contsactor or <br /> to supervise people working on your building. It is your responsibility to <br /> make sure that people employed by you have licesises rei,;red by state law and <br /> by county or murii.ci.pal liceasing ordinances. You may not delegate the <br /> responsibility for supervising work to a licensed contractor who is not <br /> licensed to perform the mork beiag dnae.
