STEEL 1?ECK SYSTEM LIMITATIONS:
L It' mechanical attachment to the struc[ural deck through the lightweight insulating conerete is proposed, a field
vithdrawai resistance testing shall be performed to determine fastener patterns and density. All testing and fastening
desi;n shAll be in conpliance with Testing Application Standard TAS 10_5 and Roofing Application Standard RAS
1!7 and/or RAS 137, calculations shall be signed and sealed by a Florida registered Professional Engincer,
Rc;istered Architect,or Registered Roof Consultant.
Z. For steet deck application where specific deck construction is not referenced: The deck shall be a minimum 22 gage
attachedvith 5!R"puddle welds with«•eld washers at eery flute Hith maximum deck spans of_5 ft.o.c.
GENERAL LIMITATIONS:
1. Frre ctassification is not part of this acceptance, refer to a current Approved Roofing Ntaterials Directory for Cre
ratings of this product.
2. Insulation rnay be installed in multiple layers. The lirst layer shal(be attached in compiiance with Product Control
Approvat gi►idelines. All other layers shatl be adhered in a ful( mopping of approved asphalt applied withiu the
EVT rane and at a rate of 20-40 lbsJsq.,or mechanically attached using the fastenin;pattern af the top layer
3. All standard panel si-r.es are acceptable for mechanical auachment. When applied in approed asphalt, panel si-r.c
shall be 4'x'maximum.
. An averlay andlor recovery board insulation panel is required on all applications oer closed cell £oam insulations
when the base sheet is fully mopped. If no recovery boArd is used the base sheet shall be applied using spot mopping
with zpproved asphalt, l" diameter circtes. 24" o.c.; or strip mopped 8" ribbons in three raws, one at each sidelap
and one down the center of the sheet allowing a continuous area of ventilatian. Encircling of the strips is not
acceptable. A 6" break shaEl be placed every 1Z' in each ribbon to allow cross ventilation. Asphalt apptication of
either system slia(1 be at a minimum rate of l2 (bs.'s. Note: Spot attached systems shall be limited to N
maximum design pressure of-4S psf.
S. Fastener spacing for insulation attachment is based on a Minimum Characteristic Force(F'}alue of 275 IbC,as
tested in compliance with Testing Application Standard TAS 105. If thc fastener valuc,ascld-tested,are below
?75 16C insulation attachment shall not be acceptable.
G. Fastencr spacing for mechanical attachment of anchorrbase sheet or membrane attachment is based on a rninimum
fastener resistance value in conjunction with the maximum design value listed within a specific systen. Should the
fastener resistance be Eess than chat required,as determined by the Building Official,a reised fastener spac'rng,
prepared, signed and sealed by a Florida Registered Engineer,Architect,or Registered Roof Consultant mav be
submitted. Said revised fastener spacing shall utilize the withdrawa!resistance value taken from Testing
Application Standards TAS l05 and calculations in compliance with Roong Application Standard RAS I 17.
7. Perimeter and corner areas shatl comply with the enlyanced uplift pressure requirements of these areas. Fastener
densities shalt be inereased for bath insulation and base sheet as calculated in compliance with Roofing Application
Standard RAS 1 U andlor RAS 137. (When this limitation is specifically referred within this NOA, General
Limitation#9 wi11 not be appticable.)
K. Al!attachment and sizing of perimeter nailers, metal profile, nndlor flashing terminAtion desins shall conform with
Roafing Application Standard RAS 11 l and appticable wind load requirements.
9. Thc maximum designed pressure limitation listed shull be applicable to all roof pressure zones(i.c. field, perimeters,
and carners).Neither rational analysis, nor extrapolation shall be pennitted for enhanced fastcning at enhanced
pressurc r.ones(i.e.perimeters,extended corners and corners).(When this limitation is specificall referred
within this NOA,Gcneral Limitation#7 will not bc applicable.)
1O. All products listed herein shall hae a quatity assurance audit in accordlnce with the Florida Building Code and
Rule)N-3 of the Florida Administrative Code.
END OF THIS ACCEPTANCE
C, C= NOA No.: 13-1i411.04
Expiration Date: 08/31/14
Approval Datec 08/29113
Page IA of t8
