That prior to final inspection any additional fees, including reinspection <br /> fees, must be paid in ful,l. A written request from this off'ice sha11 <br /> constitute an official notice rto pay additioaal fees. <br /> 7. T3iat the owner sha11 comply with a11 City, State and Federal laws in regard to <br /> social security, workman's compeasatioa, lien laws, etc. , where applicable. <br /> B. That the owner sha11 comply with al1 the safety codes issued by the Florida <br /> Industsial Commission. <br /> 9. State 1aw requires construction to be done by licensed contractors. You have <br /> applied for a permit under an exemption to that law_ The exemption allows <br /> you, as the owner of your property, to act as your own contractor with certain <br /> restrictions enen though you do not have a license. You must provide direct <br /> onsite supervision of the construction yourself. You may build or improve a <br /> one-family or two-family residence or a farm outbuildiag. You may also build <br /> or improve a commercial �++,;1d;r+q� provided your costs do not exceed $25,000. <br /> The building or resideace•must be for your owsi use or occupancy. =t may not <br /> be built or substantially improved for sale or lease. If you sell or lease a <br /> builcling you have built or substaat3.a11y improved yovrself within 1 year after <br /> the construction is complete, tt3e la�r �ill presume •that you built or <br /> substantially improved if for sale or lease, which is a violatioa of this <br /> e�cemption. You may not hire an unlicensed person to act as your contractor or <br /> to supervise people working on your building. It is your responsibility to <br /> make sure that people employed by you have I.icenses rez,;red by state law and <br /> by county or municipal licensing ordinances. You may not delegate the <br /> responsa.bility for supervisiag work to a licensed contsactor who is not. <br /> licensed to perform the aork being done.
