s � , ZEPHYR�-IILLS HISTORIC PRESERVATION BOAI�NIINUTES � A Historic Preservation Board Meeting was held on Wednesday, April 9, 2014, in the Robert H. Johnson Council Chambers of the Municipal Building. Chairman Geiger called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. as a quorum was present. Roll call was taken. Present were members John Geiger, Jason Aiken, Rose Hale, Marian Riopelle and Tracy Sullivan. Staff Present was Todd � Vande Berg. Main Street Liason Gina Granger was unable to.attend. The minutes from the March 18, meeting was not available. NEW BUSINESS -, 1 -A lication for a Historic District"Geitificate�of A ro riateness" submitted �' �'Ch'arles Froc fo�proper�Ev.located.at 5529 8�'`Street;:::�(Replacement�of roofl � � � � Todd Vande Berg introduced Mr. Proctor wfio is the applicant for the replacement roof. He explained that his roof has never been replaced and is badly leaking. He had found another type of metal roofing that came in various colors and his wife wanted a blue roof. After discussion with the Board members he understood and agreed that he must replace his roof with a like metal roofing material that is 5V crimp metal. � - Rose Hale�moved to approve applicant's Certificate of Appropriateness to replace his roof with 5V Crimp with the Acrylic Coated Galvalume (color). Motion was seconded by Tracy Sullivan. Motion passed unanimously. DISCUSSION (1) Historical Schoolhouse located at 5050 16th Street Mr. Vande Berg explained that a structure located at this address has been destroyed by weather and termites and is to be thought to be the first school house in this area (first school house of Abbott Station in the early 1900's). It is presently outside of the Historic District but was moved from 9�' Street between 3�d and 4th Avenues many years ago. There is nothing that can be done to � save it after all these years of neglect and it is scheduled for demolition. Meeting adjourned at 6:00 P.M.
