If you suspect that your tankless water heater <br /> may have frozen, da not turn on the heater ntil it has thawed and you have inspected the system for leaks. <br /> We highly recommend that you contact us if ou suspect that your tankless water heater may have been frozen <br /> with water inside it. <br /> When selecting an installatian iocation, give onsideration to your existing plumbing configuration, (ocation of <br /> your main electrical panel, and location of yo r bathrooms, kitchen, and laundry area.Try to chaose a location <br /> that daes not require you to make majar plu bing aiteratians,that is close to your main electrical panel (this <br /> will reduce the amount af wire that you eed to install), and that is physically close to the hat water <br /> appfications(faucets}that you use mast ofte . By(ocating the heater clase to the points-ofuse,you wi11 reduce <br /> the amount of time it takes for the hot water travel from the water heater to your faucet.You should also give <br /> consideration to future servicing. Do NOT la ate the�water heater in a location that is di�cult to access. In <br /> most cases, installing your tankless water he er in the same location as your old conventianal tank-type water <br /> heater will make the most sense. <br /> Regardless of your installation location, yo r water heater shauld be installed in a manner that will NOT <br /> allaw combustible trtaterials to came in co tact wit� the water heater or outlet water pipe. Cambustible <br /> materials shauld be kept at least 24 inches ay from yaur water heater and the output hat water pipe. <br /> Under normal operation,the caver of your ater heater will only warm sfightly ta the touch; however, it is <br /> aiways best to be overly cautious when dealin with a i igh voltage appliance. Make sure that the water heater, <br /> outlet hot water pipe are aut of the reach of hildren so they cannot tamper with the ternperature controls or <br /> injure themselves by touching the hot water a tlet pipe�The autput water pipe ean get very hot. <br /> This product does NOT require venting. <br /> You should avoid installing your tankless wat r heater in a location prone to excessive humidity, moisture, or <br /> dust,or in ar� area where it may be splashed ith wate i or other tiquids. Do NOT install under water pipes or air <br /> conditianing lines that might leak or candense moisture that could then drip onto the heater. Do NOT install <br /> above electrical boxes or junctians. <br /> If you plan to install your water heater an a sec nd flao I or in a heated attic space, make sure that you follow all <br /> code requirements for such installations as re uired for your area.
