Tlieses borings were advanced approximately <br /> 5 feet below land surface. The house founded at depth ranged between 12 and 15 inches. <br /> Boring locations are presented in the Attachment. <br /> 3.1.2 HAND AUGER BORINGS <br /> 'I�vo test pits were excavated on July 3, 2015 to determine the foundation type and depth of <br /> embedment.The test pits indicate the footer was embedded less than 10 inches. <br /> i <br /> 3.1.3 GROUNDWATER <br /> I <br /> The groundwater table was not detected within a depth of 5 feet below ground surface. <br /> . � • . � . � . . � <br /> The observed damage on all the exterior walls is consistent with differential movement of <br /> the foundation due to lack of support from underlying soils. SGT was requested by the <br /> homeowner to provide underpinning piers for foundation stabilization around the <br />� structure. The underpinnin iers extend the de th of the foundation, so that it is <br /> I g P i P <br /> supported on more stable soil.
