All injection pipe installations and grouting operations shall be performed in the presence i <br /> of the Geotechnical Engineer's representative. The Geotechnical Engineer or his or her � <br /> representative shall assume responsibility for verifying the quantity of grout pumped,intervals of i <br /> grouting and deciding if additional or less grout is necessary. <br /> Compliance I <br /> The Geotechnical Engineer or his or her representative may stop the grouting operation at any time i <br /> if, in his or her judgment,the operation does not comply with these specifications or the work is ' <br /> unsuitable. <br /> i <br /> Daily Records � <br /> The Geotechnical Engineer or his or her representative will malce aIl measurements of ground , <br /> heave or settlement,installed pipe lengths and grout quantities pumped. Records of each day's i <br /> grouting operation will be maintained for the benefit of the insurance company and Contractor. � <br /> The grout and pipe quantities recorded by the Geotechnical Engineer's representative shall be ` <br /> considered the final amounts for pay purposes. � <br /> Ground/House Movement ( <br /> During grouting, the Contractor and Geotechnical Engineer or his or her representative shall � <br /> observe any vertical movement of the ground and house using a transit/level. If a downward <br /> movement of tfie ground surface is observed,the grouting operation shall cease and observations ' <br /> shall continue for 30 minutes. Likewise if there is any upward movement of the house, grouting <br /> should be temporarily suspended. If the ground does not return to its original grade,pumping shall ! <br /> be resumed at a lower rate of injection.
