"Prohibited Acts": It is unlawful for any person to willfully or carelessly burn or <br /> cause to be burned, or to set fire to or cause fire to be set to, any combustible materials within the <br /> city limits of the City of Zephyrhills without submitting to the Zephyrhills Fire Department a detailed <br /> drawing or map showing the location of the burn site and securing an on-site inspection from the City <br /> of Zephyrhills Fire OfiOals of the site and anprovol to burn. . <br /> SECTION III: "Exceptions" The exceptions are as follows: <br /> (A) All camp fires and bonfires will be allowed provided they are used solely for <br /> recreational or ceremonial purposes and further provided that a permit be obtained from the <br /> Zephyrhills Fire Department. <br /> (B) Outdoor non-commercial food preparation or fires for warming of outdoor workers <br /> on cold days, as long as visible emissions are not emitted. <br /> (C) Open burning is allowed for the instruction and training of organized fire fighter's or <br /> industrial employees under the supervision of the appropriate public fire control official provided that <br /> 1.11V VaAI .a activities Lia-LVl Lll".! -"-':' .wa F"-" -1.aaa V JMxIaJâ˘VV:lalJrl-Ll a. <br /> (D) Burning of yard trash shall be permitted provided: <br /> (1) The material to be burned must be generated on the premises where it is <br /> burned and the premises can be occupied by no more than two (2) family units. <br /> (2) The open burning is fifty feet(50')or more from any residents on the property, <br /> where the burning is being conducted, three hundred feet (300') from any other <br /> occupied building, one hundred feet(100') or more from any public road and twenty <br /> five feet (25') or more from any woodlands, forest or brush. <br /> (3) The fire must be attended and adequate fire equipment readily available at all <br /> times. <br /> (4) The fire must not cause smoke, soot, orders, visible emissions, heat, flame, <br /> radiation or other conditions to the degree that they become a fire nuisance <br /> (5) The fire must be started after 9:00 a.m. and be out by one hour before sunset. <br /> (6) The burning must be enclosed in a noncombustible container or ground <br /> excavation covered by a metal mesh or grill. <br />
