Green or wet material <br /> may not be burned. <br /> (E) The foregoing, notwithstanding the burning of tires, rubber materials, tar, railroad <br /> cross ties, other creosoted lumber,plastics,waste pesticide containers, garbage (food materials) shall <br /> be prohibited. <br /> SECTION IV: "Burning of Land Clearing Debris": If the burning of land clearing debris <br /> is to'take place inside the city limits, than the use of an Air Curtain Incinerator burning method shall <br /> be used and the following provisions should apply: <br /> (1) Prior approval to use an air curtain incinerator must be obtained from the Zephyrhills <br /> Fire Department in conjunction with the permit and authorization procedures in effect through <br /> the Division of Forestry.- <br /> (2) <br /> orestry:(2) The open burning shall be three hundred feet (300') or more away from any occupied <br /> building. <br /> (3)The open burning shall be set back one hundred feet(100') or more away from any public <br /> highway or road and the.prevailing winds directthe smokeaway from the public highway or <br /> road. <br /> (4) The open burning is ignited after 9:00 a.m. and is extinguished one hour before sunset. <br /> (5) The burning shall be attended at all times. <br /> (6) The moisture content andcomposition of the material to be burned shall be favorable to <br /> good burning which will minimize air pollution. Wet or green vegetative materials shall not <br /> be burned. <br /> (7) The starter fuel and materials to be ignited shall not emit excessive visible emissions when <br /> burned. <br /> (8) Pit width, length and -sick:wails .ih d ;ioperij that the combustioi. of <br /> the waste.within the pit will be maintained at an adequate temperature and sufficient air <br /> recirculation to provide enough residence time and mixing for complete combustion and <br /> control of emissions.Pit width shall not exceed twelve feet(12'), and vertical side walls shall <br /> be maintained. <br /> (9)No waste may be positioned to be burned above the level of the air curtain in the pit. <br />
