can contribute significantly to the appearance and attrac- <br /> tiveness of commercial , industrial and other activities <br /> and the vitality of the local economy; it is therefore, <br /> the purpose of this chapter to regulate the use of signs <br /> within the City in order to protect and promote the public <br /> health, safety and general welfare and to facilitate easy <br /> and pleasant communication between people and their environ- <br /> ment. <br /> It is also the intent of this chapter to supplement <br /> and act in conjunction with the City zoning, local comprehen- <br /> sive plans and any other local , state and federal regulations <br /> to carry out these purposes . <br /> 2. ADOPTION OF REGULATIONS INCORPORATED BY REFERENCE. <br /> A document entitled "Sign Regulations of the City <br /> of Zephyrhills , originally adopted - , _ <br /> is hereby adopted by reference. Each page of the referenced <br /> regulations shall be sequentially numbered and bear the <br /> - s-urname of the City Clerk and President of the City Council <br /> and date of adoption by this Ordinance or subsequent <br /> amendment. <br /> 3. REPEAL OF CONFLICTING ORDINANCES AND/OR REGULATIONS <br /> OF THE CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS. <br /> All previously adopted Ordinances or Regulations of <br /> the City of Zephyrhills conflicting with this Ordinance <br /> or referenced regulations are hereby repealed. <br /> 4. VALIDITY. <br /> If any Section, part of a Section, paragraph, sentence, <br /> clause, phrase or word of this Ordinance is , for any reason, <br /> held or declared to be unconstitutional , inoperative, or <br /> void, such holding of invalidity shall not affect the <br /> remaining portions of this Ordinance and it shall be <br /> construed to have been the intent to pass this Ordinance <br /> without such constitutional , invalid, or inoperative part <br /> therein. <br /> 5. ENFORCEMENT. <br /> A. The Zephyrhills Building Official , shall be in <br /> charge of sign administration and enforcement of the <br /> O. R. 1827 PG 0709 <br />
