All . chain link or wire-type fences that can <br /> be constructed and maintained from one side only must be <br /> set back a minimum of four (4) inches from the lot line . <br /> b . All solid fences less than three (3 ) feet <br /> in height that can be maintained from one side only must <br /> be set back a minimum of four (4) inches from lot line . <br /> c . All solid fences over three ( 3) feet in <br /> height must be set back a minimum of three ( 3) feet from <br /> the lot line . <br /> d . No fence , wall or hedge shall be installed <br /> on or across any roadway, alley or easement and shall be <br /> set back a minimum of four (4) inches from any such <br /> roadway, alley or easement . <br /> (4) Generally: - <br /> a. The property owner prior to constructing <br /> any fence , wall or hedge shall assume the responsibility <br /> for determining by survey the correct boundaries of the <br /> property to be fenced and the existenceof any easements <br /> or rights-of-way that exist . Failure to provide the <br /> building department with complete and accurate <br /> information when applying for a permit shall be <br /> sufficient cause for; the building official to order the <br /> removal of any construction not in compliance with this <br /> code . <br /> b . All fences , walls and hedges shall be <br /> constructed so as to be safe and neat in appearance and <br /> shal be maintained so . Any fence, wall or hedge which <br /> becomes dilapidated and unsafe or is damaged in excess of <br /> thirty ( 30) per cent of its total may be ordered removed <br /> by the building official . <br /> O.
