SECTION 23 05 13—ELECTRICAL WORK ASSOCIATED WITH MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT <br /> PART 1 -GENERAL <br /> 1.1 RELATED DOCUMENTS <br /> A. The Bidding Requirements and Contractual Conditions set forth in Division 01 apply to this <br /> section. <br /> B. Examine other sections of the Project Manual for requirements which affect work of this section <br /> whether or not such work is specifically mentioned in this section. <br /> 1.2 RELATED WORK <br /> A. Electrical work required: <br /> 1. All power wiring and conduit. (Provided under Division 26). <br /> 2. Control wiring. (Provided under Division 23). <br /> 3. Motor disconnects. (Provided under Division 26). <br /> 4: Starters provided under Division 26, except when furnished with packaged equipment; <br /> wiring under Division 26. <br /> 5. Conduit and control wiring for Division 23 work. <br /> 1.3 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br /> A. All electrical work shall conform to the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70). <br /> B. Electrical equipment shall conform to NEMA standards and shall be UL listed. <br /> 1.4 SUBMITTALS <br /> A. Furnish to Electrical Contractor equipment shop drawings that indicate all required power <br /> connections. <br /> B. Prepare complete terminal-to-terminal wiring diagrams that show terminal designation on control <br /> items and equipment. Diagrams may be part of temperature control submittals. <br /> C. Provide letter on mechanical subcontractor's letterhead certifying that coordination has taken <br /> place with the electrical subcontractor and all electrical requirements for mechanical equipment <br /> have been met. Additionally, mechanical submittals shall be provided to the electrical <br /> subcontractor. <br /> PART2-PRODUCTS <br /> 2.1 MOTORS <br /> A. All motors shall be premium efficiency. <br /> B. General purpose motors shall be open drip-proof conforming to NEMA Design, Class B <br /> insulation, continuous 400 C ambient, 60 Hz, 1.15 service factor, and 1800 RPM maximum speed <br /> unless specified otherwise. Voltage and phase shall be as specified. <br /> C. Motors shall be single phase below 3/4 HP and three phase 3/4 HP and larger, unless specified <br /> otherwise. <br /> 1.
