D. Maintain integrity of vapor-barrier on ductwork insulation, and protect it to prevent puncture and <br /> other damage. Coat all taped seams and punctures with vapor barrier coating. <br /> E. Extend ductwork insulation without interruption through walls, floors and similar ductwork <br /> penetrations. <br /> F. Protect outdoor insulation from weather by installing weather barrier mastic/reinforcing mesh or <br /> jacketing as recommended by manufacturer, or as indicated on drawings. <br /> G. Corner Angles: Except for oven and hood exhaust duct insulation, install corner angles on <br /> external corners of insulation on ductwork up to seven (7) feet above finished floor in exposed <br /> finished spaces before covering with jacketing. <br /> 3.5 PROTECTION AND REPLACEMENT <br /> A. Replace damaged insulation which cannot be repaired satisfactorily, including units with vapor <br /> barrier damage and moisture saturated units. If insulation has been allowed to become wet <br /> during the construction process, said materials shall be removed from the jobsite, and clean, dry <br /> materials installed. <br /> B.
