J <br />(a) All buildings regardless of the type of <br />construction or occupancy classification one through <br />three stories, not required to have an automatic fire <br />alarm system, shall have single station smoke/heat <br />detectors in all units. <br />(b) One every 30 feet of all hallways and corridors <br />or a part thereof. <br />(c) In every hazard area and unoccupied storage <br />areas. <br />(d), SBC -Group R . - .Residenti a1 occupancies shall <br />have smoke detectors for the deaf and hearing impaired in <br />multiple dwellings located in guest and living units and <br />in halls and corridors. <br />3. Standpipe - Wet. <br />(a) In all three story buildings with interior <br />halls, corridors, or stairs and in three story buildings <br />exempt from required automatic sprinklers that have any <br />single floor gross area of more than 3,000 square feet <br />shall have wet standpipe system as per NFPA 14. <br />(b) In three story buildings where full automatic <br />sprinklers are required, a Class I or Class III system <br />shall be installed and the sprinkler and standpipe system <br />may be combined. <br />(c) In three story buildings that are not required <br />to have full automatic sprinkler protection, a Class III <br />system shall in installed. <br />4. Types of Construction. <br />(a) Three story buildings that have full automatic <br />sprinklers shall be of Type I, Type II, Type IV, or Type <br />V construction. Three story buildings that are not fully <br />protected by automatic sprinklers shall be of Type I, <br />Type II, or Type IV construction. <br />5. Elevators - Firemen Service.
