<br />6. EXISTING WORK SHALL BE CUT, DRILLED, ALTERED, REMOVED OR TEMPORARILY REMOVED AND
<br />REPLACED FOR PERFORMANCE OF WORK UNDER THE CONTRACT. WORK REPLACED SHALL
<br />MATCH SIMILAR EXISTING WORK. STRUCTURAL MEMBERS OF CONCRETE OR STRUCTURAL STEEL
<br />SHALL NOT BE CUT OR ALTERED, EXCEPT AS SHOWN WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION OF THE
<br />OWNER. WORK REMAINING IN PLACE DAMAGED OR DEFACED DURING THIS CONTRACT SHALL BE
<br />RESTORED TO THE CONDITION AT TIME OF AWARD OF CONTRACT. CUT, ALTER, REMOVE OR
<br />TEMPORARILY REMOVE AND REPLACE EXISTING WORK FOR THE INSTALLATION OF MECHANICAL,
<br />PLUMBING AND ELECTRICAL WORK AND OTHER CONSTRUCTION.
<br />7. PROPERLY REMOVE AND DISPOSE OF ALL EXISTING FIXTURES AS REQUIRED TO ACCOMMODATE
<br />NEW PLAN. REFER TO THE ARCHITECTURAL DEMOLITION PLANS. CONSULT WITH THE OWNER
<br />AND OBTAIN OWNERS APPROVAL PRIOR TO DISPOSAL OF REMOVED MATERIAL.
<br />8. UNLESS INDICATED OTHERWISE, ALL EXISTING MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT, DUCTWORK, PIPING,
<br />WIRING, HANGERS AND SUPPORTS SHALL BE REMOVED BACK TO BELOW SLAB, ABOVE
<br />CEILING, OR WITHIN WALL CAVITIES AS INDICATED ON THE DRAWINGS. REFER TO THE
<br />ARCHITECTURAL DEMOLITION PLANS. CONSULT WITH THE OWNER AND OBTAIN OWNERS
<br />APPROVAL PRIOR TO DISPOSAL OF REMOVED MATERIAL.
<br />9. THE EXISTING EQUIPMENT INDICATED ON THESE DRAWINGS WAS COMPILED FROM ORIGINAL
<br />CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS, 'AS -BUILT" DRAWINGS AND ENGINEERS FIELD OBSERVATIONS. THE
<br />EXISTING EQUIPMENT INDICATED REPRESENTS A BEST FAITH EFFORT BY THE ENGINEER TO
<br />DEMONSTRATE THE CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH THE WORK IS TO BE EXECUTED. THE
<br />CONTRACTOR SHALL VISIT THE SITE AND REVIEW EXISTING CONDITIONS TO THE DEGREE AND
<br />EXTENT NECESSARY TO PREPARE A PROPER AND ADEQUATE BID FOR THE WORK INDICATED.
<br />SUBMISSION OF A BID WILL BE INTERPRETED AS MEANING THE CONTRACTOR HAS REVIEWED
<br />EXISTING CONDITIONS AND UNDERSTANDS THE DIFFICULTIES AND CHALLENGES UNDER WHICH
<br />THE WORK IS TO BE ACCOMPLISHED.
