COORDINATE WITH MECHANICAL. <br />ALLOWABLE BUILDING AREA <br />INCREASE CALCULATIONS & CODE <br />ANALYSIS <br />Determination of building construction type and occupancy classification is a <br />FBC Type V-A -per Table 601 and Type V-III per NFPA 220. <br />Maximum square footage of each building area to be 9,500 per FBC Table <br />503. An area increase of 300% is allowable for a fully sprinklered facility. 9500 <br />+(300%X 9500=28500SF)=38,000SF. Additional area increases are not <br />necessary. <br />Each building area is separated by 2 Hour Fire walls to maintain a maximum of <br />38,000 SF <br />2 Hour Fire /Smoke (minimum) walls are used where these divisions also <br />correspond to the required smoke compartment arrangement each to be a <br />maximum of 22,500 SF. <br />The 2 hour fire / smoke wall between the i'iew skilled nursing unit and existing <br />units is a 2 hour fire/smoke wall used as a smoke compartment wall and a Fire <br />Section separation wall.
