<br />1. ALL WORK PERFORMED AND ALL MATERIALS FURNISHED SHALL CONFORM TO THE

<br />5. BEFORE SUBMITTING BID, CONTRACTOR SHALL VISIT AND BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
<br />HAVING ASCERTAINED LOCAL CONDITIONS SUCH AS LOCATION, ACCESSIBILITY AND
<br />GENERAL CHARACTER OF THE SITE, EXTENT OF REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION WORK.
<br />THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FULLY EXAMINE ALL DRAWINGS RELATING TO THE WORK
<br />AND BECOME COMPLETELY INFORMED OF THE EXTENT AND CHARACTER OF THE

<br />6. BEFORE ORDERING ANY MATERIALS OR EQUIPMENT, THE EC SHALL SUBMIT
<br />ENGINEERING DATA FOR ALL MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT HE PROPOSES TO FURNISH
<br />AND INSTALL. THE EC SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR CHECKING EQUIPMENT
<br />DIMENSIONS OF THE PROPOSED SUBSTITUTE EQUIPMENT AND SHALL BE
<br />RESPONSIBLE FOR IT FITTING IN THE SPACE AVAILABLE. THE COST OF ANY
<br />REDESIGN CAUSED BY A SUBSTITUTION SHALL BE BORNE BY THE EC.
<br />7. THE EC SHALL DO ALL CUTTING, DRILLING AND PATCHING REQUIRED BY HIS WORK.
<br />STRUCTURAL MEMBERS SHALL NOT BE CUT, UNLESS APPROVED BY THE ENGINEER.
<br />8. THE EC SHALL CONFIRM THE LOCATION OF ALL EXISTING UTILITIES AND BE
<br />RESPONSIBLE FOR REPAIRING ANY DAMAGES HE CAUSES.
<br />9. EC SHALL PROVIDE A ONE-YEAR WARRANTY FROM THE DATE OF SUBSTANTIAL
<br />COMPLETION THAT COVERS ALL DEFECTS IN WORKMANSHIP OR MATERIALS.
<br />10. EC SHALL MAINTAIN TWO SETS OF PROGRESS DRAWINGS INDICATING ALL CHANGES
<br />IN EQUIPMENT OR LOCATION FROM THE DESIGN DOCUMENTS. EC SHALL PROVIDE
<br />ONE SET OF PROGRESS DRAWINGS FOR ENGINEER'S REVIEW AT SUBSTANTIAL
<br />COMPLETION.
<br />11. PROVIDE TWO OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE MANUALS TO OWNER PRIOR TO
<br />PROJECT CLOSE OUT. MANUALS SHALL INCLUDE SUBMITTAL DATA STATING
<br />EQUIPMENT RATINGS AND SELECTED OPTIONS FOR ALL EQUIPMENT REQUIRING
<br />MAINTENANCE. ROUTINE MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES SHALL BE CLEARLY IDENTIFIED.
<br />MANUALS SHALL INCLUDE NAME AND ADDRESS OF AT LEAST ONE QUALIFIED
<br />SERVICE AGENCY.
<br />GROUNDING
<br />1. PROVIDE A COMPLETE GROUNDING SYSTEM FOR THE ENTIRE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AS
<br />REQUIRED BY ARTICLE 250 OF THE NEC.
<br />2. ALL GROUNDING WIRE, LUGS, JUMPERS AND BUS SHALL BE COPPER. GROUND
<br />RODS SHALL BE 5/8" DIAMETER BY 10-FOOT COPPER -CLAD, STEEL RODS.
<br />3. ALL FEEDER AND BRANCH CIRCUITS SHALL CONTAIN AN EQUIPMENT -GROUND WIRE.
<br />NO METAL CONDUIT OF ANY KIND OR LENGTH SHALL BE USED AS THE
<br />EQUIPMENT -GROUNDING CONDUCTOR.
<br />4. EQUIPMENT -GROUNDING CONDUCTORS AND STRAPS SHALL BE SIZED IN
<br />ACCORDANCE WITH THE NEC, UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED. ALL
<br />EQUIPMENT -GROUNDING CONDUCTORS SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH GREEN INSULATION
<br />EQUIVALENT TO THE INSULATION ON THE ASSOCIATED PHASE CONDUCTORS.
<br />5. METAL AND CONCRETE POLES SUPPORTING OUTDOOR LIGHTING FIXTURES SHALL BE
<br />GROUNDED WITH A SUPPLEMENTAL GROUND ROD IN ADDITION TO THE BRANCH
<br />CIRCUIT EQUIPMENT -GROUNDING CONDUCTOR.
<br />6. GROUNDING CONDUCTORS SHALL BE CONTINUOUS. NO SPLICING OF CONDUCTORS

<br />7. MAKE GROUNDING CONNECTIONS IN SUCH A MANNER AS TO MINIMIZE THE

<br />BOXES
<br />1. INTERIOR OUTLET BOXES SHALL BE GALVANIZED STEEL, MINIMUM 14-GAUGE, NO
<br />LESS THAN 4' SQUARE 1-1/2" DEEP, WITH EXTENSION RINGS AND MOUNTING
<br />BRACKETS.
<br />2. JUNCTION AND PULL BOXES SHALL HAVE SCREW -ON COVERS OR LOCKING HINGED

<br />1. THOROUGHLY CLEAN THE ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT AND ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL
<br />MATERIALS BEFORE ENERGIZATION OF ANY PART OF THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. IT IS
<br />THE EC'S RESPONSIBILITY TO HAVE ALL THE ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT, RACEWAYS,
<br />CABLING, CABLE INSULATION AND OTHER RELATED ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS TESTED.
<br />ALL TEST RESULTS SHALL BE RECORDED, DATED AND SUBMITTED TO THE ENGINEER
<br />AND OWNER FOR RECORD. TEST PROCEDURES AND RESULTS SHALL BE PER NETA
<br />STANDARDS. IN THE ABSENCE OF RELEVANT NETA STANDARDS, THE EC SHALL
<br />SUBSTITUTE APPROPRIATE TEST PROCEDURES FROM IEEE OR ANSI. THE SUBSTITUTE

<br />2. THE EC SHALL VERIFY THAT EACH KEY SYSTEM INTERFACES CORRECTLY WITH ALL
<br />RELATED SYSTEMS. THE EC SHALL FURNISH ALL TEST DATA TO THE ENGINEER
<br />VERIFYING THAT ALL SYSTEMS HAVE BEEN INSTALLED CORRECTLY AND ARE WORKING
<br />TOGETHER TO PROVIDE A COMPLETE, OPERATIONAL ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AS
<br />DESIGNED.
<br />WIRE AND CABLE
<br />1. ALL WIRE SHALL BE COPPER WITH INSULATION RATED AT 600-VOLTS, 75-DEGREES
<br />CELSIUS MINIMUM. WIRE SHALL BE SOLID TYPE THHN OR THWN UP TO SIZE 10
<br />AWG AND STRANDED TYPE THWN, XHHW, OR THHN FOR SIZE 8 AWG AND LARGER
<br />(UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED).
<br />2. MINIMUM WIRE SIZES SHALL BE #12 FOR POWER WIRING AND #14 FOR CONTROL

<br />USING THE OWNER'S ROOM NUMBERS. DIRECTORIES SHALL BE INSTALLED IN A

<br />6. PANELS 68-INCHES OR LESS IN HEIGHT SHALL BE INSTALLED WITH THE TOP OF
