IN THE COOLING MODE, <br />WITH THE AHU FAN OPERATING, THE DIRECT DIGITAL CONTROLLER SHALL CYCLE ON THE <br />DX SYSTEM COMPRESSORS TO MAINTAIN A SUPPLY AIR DISCHARGE TEMPERATURE OF <br />55' F (ADJUSTABLE). IF RETURN AIR TEMPERATURE DROPS BELOW 65' F (ADJUSTABLE) <br />THE DX COOLING SHALL NOT BE ALLOWED TO OPERATE UNTIL THE RETURN AIR <br />TEMPERATURE RISES ABOVE 72' F (ADJUSTABLE). IN THE HEATING MODE THE DX <br />COOLING SHALL NOT BE ALLOWED TO OPERATE. <br />THE DIRECT DIGITAL CONTROLLER SHALL MAINTAIN SYSTEM DUCT STATIC PRESSURE BY <br />MODULATING THE VARIABLE FREQUENCY DRIVE ON THE FAN MOTOR TO MAINTAIN THE <br />DPT-1 SUPPLY DUCT STATIC PRESSURE AS SENSED BY A DUCT STATIC PRESSURE SENSOR <br />LOCATED APPROXIMATELY TWO-THIRDS THE LENGTH OF THE MAXIMUM LENGTH DUCT. <br />PROVIDE A HIGH LIMIT STATIC PRESSURE SWITCH, SET AT 2.5" W.C. (ADJUSTABLE), <br />HARD WIRED TO FAN TO SHUT DOWN FAN UPON ACTIVATION. THE VARIABLE FREQUENCY <br />\ DRIVE SHALL BE SET TO MAINTAIN DX UNIT MINIMUM REQUIRED AIRFLOW AT ALL TIMES. <br />I THE DIGITAL CONTROLLER SHALL MAINTAIN THE OUTSIDE AIR FLOW BY MODULATING THE <br />OUTSIDE AIR DAMPER TO MEET SET POINT AS SENSED BY THE AIRFLOW MEASURING <br />STATION. AT NO TIME SHALL THE OUTSIDE AIR FLOW DROP BELOW THE MINIMUM LEVEL <br />AS SENSED BY THE AIRFLOW MEASURING STATION. IF THE OUTSIDE AIR DAMPER IS <br />FULL OPEN, AND THE OUTDOOR AIR FLOW DROPS BELOW ITS SET POINT THEN THE <br />DIRECT DIGITAL CONTROLLER SHALL MODULATE CLOSED THE RETURN AIR DAMPER SO <br />AS TO MAINTAIN OUTSIDE AIR FLOW AT SETPOINT. <br />IN THE OCCUPIED MODE THE OUTSIDE AIR DAMPER SHALL OPEN. WHEN UNOCCUPIED <br />THE OUTDOOR AIR DAMPER SHALL CLOSE. <br />PROVIDE OPTIMAL START/STOP MODES FOR WARM-UP AND COOL DOWN AT THE <br />BEGINNING OF THE OCCUPIED CYCLE. THIS CYCLE TIME SHALL BE 1 HOUR (ADJ) AND <br />DURING THIS CYCLE THE OUTDOOR AIR DAMPER SHALL BE CLOSED. <br />THE DIGITAL SYSTEM CONTROLLER SHALL MONITOR CARBON DIOXIDE (CO2) LEVELS IN <br />EACH SPACE VIA SPACE CO2 SENSORS. IF CO2 LEVELS VARY BY 10% OR MORE FROM <br />SETPOINT (600 PPM ADJUSTABLE). THE DIRECT DIGITAL CONTROLLER <br />WILL NOT MOVE THE DAMPER TO A POSITION THAT EXCEEDS THE MAXIMUM OR <br />MINIMUM VELOCITY (CFM) FOR THE VAV TERMINAL UNIT. <br />IF THE ZONE TEMPERATURE DROPS BELOW THE HEATING SET POINT THE ZONE <br />TEMPERATURE SENSOR WILL, THROUGH THE DIRECT DIGITAL CONTROLLER OPERATE <br />THE ELECTRIC HEAT COIL IN STAGES TO MAINTAIN THE HEATING TEMPEkkTURE <br />SETPOINT. UPON A FURTHER REQUIREMENT FOR HEATING TO MAINTAIN HEATING <br />TEMPERATURE SETPOINT, THE DIRECT DIGITAL CONTROLLER WILL MODULATE THE VAV <br />TERMINAL UNIT OPERATOR TO THE FULL FLOW VELOCITY POSITION. THE REVERSE OF <br />THE ABOVE WILL TAKE PLACE UPON A TEMPERATURE RISE. THE ELECTRIC HEAT COIL <br />SHALL NOT BE ALLOWED TO OPERATE UNLESS THE MAIN AHU FAN IS OPERATING. <br />DURING AIR HANDLING SYSTEM SHUT DOWN, THE DIGITAL CONTROLLER WILL <br />COMMAND THE VAV TERMINAL UNIT DAMPER MOTOR ACTUATOR TO FULLY CLOSE THE <br />DAMPER. THE ELECTRIC HEAT COIL WILL BE OFF. <br />HEATING SHALL NOT BE ALLOWED TO OPERATE WITH THE OUTDOOR AIR TEMPERATURE <br />ABOVE 45 F (ADJUSTABLE) FROM THE MDSC. <br />THE DIGITAL SYSTEM CONTROLLER SHALL MONITOR ALL POINTS SHOWN ON <br />IN THE COOLING MODE, IF TEMPERATURE IS SATISFIED BUT HUMIDITY IS <br />ABOVE SETPOINT FOR MORE THAN A 10 MINUTE PERIOD (ADJUSTABLE), THE <br />BOX SHALL GO TO FULL (COOLING) AIRFLOW AND ELECTRIC HEAT SHALL <br />BE ALLOWED TO "REHEAT" AIR BACK TO TEMPERATURE SETPOINT.
