THE CONTRACTOR SHALL KEEP A SET OF MARKED UP DRAWINGS <br />AS THE JOB PROGRESSES. CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE TO EXISTING <br />PIPING, FIXTURES OR EQUIPMENT DUE TO NEW CONSTRUCTION AND <br />HE SHALL RESTORE EXISTING WORK TO ITS ORIGINAL CONDITION AT NO <br />COST TO THE OWNER. <br />9. ALL THE WORK SHALL BE PERFORMED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE <br />FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, 2004 EDITION WITH 2O05 & 2006 SUPPLEMENTS, <br />LOCAL ORDINANCES AND IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE ENERGY CONSERVATION CODE. <br />10. CONTRACTOR SHALL FURNISH AND INSTALL SHOCK ABSORBERS ON PIPING <br />SERVING FIXTURES AND EQUIPMENT WITH QUICK CLOSING VALVES. SIZE OF <br />SHOCK ABSORBERS SHALL BE ACCORDING TO PDI STANDARDS. <br />11. CONTINUITY OF SERVICES: EXISTING BUILDING WILL REMAIN IN USE DURING <br />CONSTRUCTION OPERATIONS. WHEN AN INTERRUPTION OF AN EXISTING SERVICE <br />IS NECESSARY, CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WITH AUTHORIZED HOSPITAL <br />PERSONNEL BEFORE MAKING THE NECESSARY INTERRUPTION. <br />12. ALL PENETRATIONS THROUGH WALLS AND FLOORS SHALL BE SLEEVED <br />AND/OR PATCHED AS DIRECTED BY THE SPECIFICATIONS. PATCHING <br />SHALL MATCH EXISTING FINISH. (SEE ARCH. DRAWINGS). <br />PLUMBING DEMOLITION NOTES <br />1) CONTRACTOR SHALL REMOVE INACTIVE EXISTING SERVICES <br />TO FIXTURES AND EQUIPMENT THAT HAS BEEN OR WILL BE <br />REMOVED TO ALLOW FOR THIS NEW CONSTRUCTION. <br />CONTRACTOR SHALL CAP BELOW FLOORS, SO AS NOT TO <br />INTERFERE WITH NEW ARRANGEMENT OF RENOVATED AREA. <br />2) WHERE EXISTING EQUIPMENT, PLUMBING FIXTURES, AND RELATED <br />ITEMS ARE TO BE REMOVED, CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT COMPLETE <br />LIST TO THE OWNER. ALL ITEMS THAT THE OWNER WISHES TO <br />RETAIN SHALL BE DELIVERED TO BUILDING STORAGE WHERE <br />DIRECTED BY OWNER. CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN FROM THE OWNER A COPY OF THE INFECTION CONTROL <br />RISK ASSESSMENT (ICRA) PREPARED FOR THIS PROJECT. CONTRACTOR SHALL <br />REVIEW THE REQUIREMENTS IN THE REPORT AND PERFORM ALL WORK IN ACCORDANCE <br />WITH THOSE REQUIREMENTS. CONTRACTOR SHALL STRICTLY ADHERE TO THE LIMITS <br />OF CONSTRUCTION AREA, AND WHERE PHASING APPLIES SHALL ADHERE TO <br />THE PHASING PLAN. ANY WORK OUTSIDE THE CONSTRUCTION AREA SHALL <br />BE COORDINATED WITH THE OWNER AND PERFORMED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE <br />ICRA REPORT, UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE <br />OR OTHER DESIGNATED ICRA COMMITTEE OFFICER. <br />2. TO THE EXTENT THAT IT IS REQUIRED BY THE ICRA, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL <br />ENDEAVOR TO MAINTAIN EXISTING LEVELS OF INDOOR AIR QUALITY IN AREAS <br />SURROUNDING AND ADJACENT TO THE CONSTRUCTION WORK ZONE, <br />AND ELSEWHERE IN THE FACILITY. IT SHOULD BE ANTICIPATED THAT THE ICRA <br />REPORT ILL REQUIRE MEASURES TO THIS EFFECT INCLUDING ERECTION OF <br />CONSTRUCTION ZONE BARRIERS AND PROVISION OF NEGATIVE AIR PRESSURE IN <br />THE CONSTRUCTION ZONE RELATIVE TO OTHER AREAS OF THE NEW FACILITY. <br />3. IN ADDITION TO MEETING THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE ICRA REPORT, THE <br />CONTRACTOR AT A MINIMUM SHALL PROVIDE EQUIPMENT AND COMPONENTS <br />NECESSARY TO CREATE A NEGATIVE PRESSURE IN THE CONSTRUCTION WORK ZONE <br />RELATIVE TO ADJACENT AREA. EXISTING HVAC SYSTEMS AND COMPONENTS SHALL <br />NOT BE USED FOR THIS FUNCTION, UNLESS SPECIFICALLY APPROVED BY <br />THE OWNER'S INFECTION CONTROL OFFICER. THE CONCEPT AND ALL ASPECTS <br />OF THIS WORK SHALL BE DONE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ICRA REQUIREMENTS <br />AND AT A MINIMUM AS FOLLOWS: <br />A.
