<br />SECTION 01045 - CUTTING AND PATCHING
<br />Scope: I. Cutting and patching Includes cutting Into existing construction for the Installation
<br />or performance of other work and patching required to restore the surfaces to their
<br />original condition.
<br />a. Unless otherwise specified the requirements for this section also apply to
<br />mechanical and electrical work. Refer to divisions l5 and 16 for further
<br />requirements.
<br />b. Do not cut and patch exposed work In a manner that In the Architect/Engineers
<br />opinion results In lessening the buildings aesthetic qualities. Replace any work
<br />judged by the Archltect/Engineer to be usually satisfactory.
<br />c. Do not cut and patch exposed work In a manner that would result in the
<br />reduction of load carrying capacity or load deflection ratio. When In doubt
<br />notify the Archltecl/Englneer.
<br />Products: I. Except as otherwise indicated, or as directed by Archltect/ Engineer, use
<br />material for cutting and patching that are Identical to existing materials.
<br />Execution: I. Provide temporary support and protection of existing work as required.

<br />Scope: I. Format for submittals: As required for specific type and by Individual sections.

<br />SECTION 06100 - ROUGH CARPENTRY
<br />Scope: I. Provide rough carpentry work Including but not limited to: nollers, blocking,
<br />furring and sleepers.
<br />Products: I. Lumber, finished 4 sides,19Z maximum moisture content.
<br />a. Light framing: Construction grade Douglas fir or southern pine, appearance
<br />grade where exposed.

<br />SECTION 07200 - INSULATION

<br />Products: I. Unf aced fiberglass sound attenuation botts.
<br />a. Unfaced mineral fiber butts complying with ASTM C665 Type I.

<br />3. Auxiliary materials : Adhesives for bonding Insulation to substrates and

<br />Execution: I. Provide tight gaps at unit Intersections.
<br />2. Install and support units per type of substrate indicated.
<br />SECTION 07270 - FIRESTOPPING
<br />Scope: I. Provide flrestopping Insulation and caulking to prevent passage of
<br />flame and products of combustion through concealed spaces, openings
<br />between and around floors and fire rated assemblies.
<br />Products: I. Assemblies as Indicated on drawings and / or required by
<br />existing construction.
<br />SECTION 07900 - JOINT SEALERS
<br />Scope: I. Provide sealant at Intersection of building components.
<br />Products: I. Joints designed for expansion and movement conditions at site:
<br />a. Elostomerlc sealant for exterior work
<br />b. Non-elostomeric caulking compounds for interior work
<br />2. Elostomerlc joint sealants:
<br />a. Manufacturers standard one part non ocld-curing silicone sealant
<br />Type S Grade NS complying with ASTM C 920 and ASTM C 719
<br />J. Latex (non elostomeric) sealants for interior joints.

<br />Scope: 1. Provide acoustical ceilings and metal suspension system.
<br />2. Fire Performance Characteristics: Provide materials that are Identical to those tested for
<br />the following fire performance characteristics, per ASTM test method Indicated below,
<br />by UL or other testing and Inspecting organizations acceptable to authorities having
<br />jurisdiction. Identify acoustical ceiling components with appropriate markings of
<br />applicable testing and Inspecting organizations.
<br />a. Flame spread 25 or less
<br />b. Smoke developed 450 or less
<br />Products: 1. Acoustical panels: Use Armstrong Cortega 1770 2 x 2 x 5/8'.
<br />Use Armstrong 3150 2 x 2 x P In MRI Scan Room.

<br />SECTION 09650 - RESILIENT FLOORING
<br />1. Provide resilient flooring.
<br />2. Fire Test Performance: Provide resilient flooring which compiles with the following
<br />fire test performance criteria as determined by an Independent testing laboratory
<br />acceptable to authorities having jurisdiction.
<br />a. Critical Radiant Flux (CRF): Not less than the following rating per ASTM E 648.
<br />0.45 watts per sq. cm.
<br />b. Flame Spread: Not more than 25 per ASTM E 84.
<br />c. Smoke Developed: Not more than 450 per ASTM E 84
<br />d. Smoke Density: Not more than 450 per ASTM E662
<br />Products: I. Resilient flooring: Vinyl plank, vinyl composition the and cove vinyl base. Refer to flnlsh drawings.
<br />2. Adhesives (Cements): Waterproof, stabilized type as recommended by flooring
<br />manufacturer to suit material and substrate conditions.
<br />J. Concrete slob primer: Non -staining type compatible with adhesive as recommended by
<br />flooring manufacturer.
<br />4. Leveling compound: Latex type compatible with adhesive as recommended by
<br />flooring manufacturer.
<br />5. Adhesives shall comply with the following limits for VOC content when calculated
<br />according to 40 CFR 59 Subpart D (EPA method 24).
<br />a. Adhesives: VOC not more than 50 g/L
<br />6. Extra materials:
<br />a. Provide additional resilient flooring in the amount of 2.0 percent, or I carton
<br />whichever Is greater, for each type specified for maintenance stock.
<br />Execution: I. Clean and prepare floor In accordance with manufacturers recommendations
<br />2. Clean all floor surfaces per manufacturers recommendations and wax
<br />vinyl composition tie (If applicable).
<br />SECTION 09900 PAINTING
<br />Scope: I. Provide painting and surface preparation for all interior surfaces,
