<br />1. ALL DEMOLITION SHALL BE CARRIED OUT IN A

<br />2. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FIELD VERIFY THE

<br />REMOVAL OF WALLS, DOORS, FLOORS, AND
<br />ELECTRICAL ITEMS INCLUDING CONDUITS AS

<br />COMPLETE JOB.
<br />3. WHEN UTILITIES ARE REMOVED, CAP AND SEAL

<br />CONSTRUCTION. PRIOR TO THE EXCAVATION OF
<br />FOUNDATIONS ADJACENT TO THE EXISTING
<br />STRUCTURE, PROVIDE ADEQUATE SUPPORT FOR
<br />THE SUB -BASE TO PREVENT UNDERMINING.
<br />7. DURING DEMOLITION AND RECONSTRUCTION, THE
<br />CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WITH THE
<br />WALMART MECHANICAL SERVICES CONSTRUCTION
<br />MANAGER ANY REQUIRED SAFETY BARRIERS OR
<br />BARRICADES. REFER TO THE WALMART
<br />MECHANICAL SERVICES CONSTRUCTION MANAGER
<br />FOR PHASING AND SCHEDULING DEMOLITION
<br />AND NEW CONSTRUCTION.
<br />8. IMMEDIATE SALVAGE/LEGAL DISPOSAL OF ALL
<br />DECOMMISSIONED EQUIPMENT SHALL BE THE
<br />RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR. AT THE
<br />DISCRETION OF THE WALMART MECHANICAL
<br />SERVICES CONSTRUCTION MANAGER WALMART
<br />SHALL RETAIN THE OPTION TO OCCASIONALLY
<br />SALVAGE EMS EQUIPMENT, VARIABLE FREQUENCY
<br />DRIVE EQUIPMENT, COMPRESSORS, WALK-IN
<br />DOORS, EVAPORATORS, REFRIGERATED CASES,
<br />ETC. FROM REFRIGERATION EQUIPMENT TO BE
<br />REPLACED DURING THE CAP-X PROJECT. THE
<br />CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WITH THE
<br />WALMART MECHANICAL SERVICES CONSTRUCTION
<br />MANAGER ALL ITEMS TO BE RETAINED BY
<br />WALMART PRIOR TO REMOVAL OF THE
<br />EQUIPMENT SHOWN ON THE DEMOLITION PLANS.
<br />THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CAREFULLY REMOVE
<br />ANY ITEMS TO BE RETAINED BY WALMART AND
<br />DELIVER THOSE ITEMS, READY FOR SHIPMENT,
<br />TO THE WALMART MECHANICAL SERVICES
<br />CONSTRUCTION MANAGER. ALL REMOVED ITEMS
<br />NOT ALLOCATED FOR SALVAGE BY WALMART
<br />SHALL BE THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY
<br />TO IMMEDIATELY REMOVE FROM THE JOB SITE
<br />AND ARRANGE DISPOSAL IN ACCORDANCE WITH
<br />LOCAL CODES.
<br />GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
<br />1. THE PLANS SHOWN THROUGHOUT THESE DOCUMENTS ARE BASED
<br />ON LIMITED INFORMATION PROVIDED BY WALMART; THE DESIGN
<br />PROFESSIONAL HAS NOT SURVEYED THIS STORE AND CANNOT BE
<br />HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ACCURACY OF THE EXISTING
<br />CONDITIONS ILLUSTRATED.
<br />2. ALL SUBCONTRACTORS ARE TO INSPECT THE STORE PRIOR TO
<br />COMMENCING WITH ANY WORK AND NOTIFY THE WALMART
<br />MECHANICAL SERVICES CONSTRUCTION MANAGER OF ANY
<br />DISCREPANCIES BETWEEN THESE PLANS AND THE EXISTING
<br />CONDITIONS.
<br />3. ALL WORK SHALL BE DONE IN A SAFE AND WORKMANLIKE
<br />MANNER AND IN STRICT ACCORDANCE WITH THE LOCAL GOVERNING
<br />BUILDING CODE, NATIONAL ELECTRIC CODE, ADA-ADAAGS, AND ALL
<br />APPLICABLE CODES, REGULATIONS AND ORDINANCES HAVING
<br />JURISDICTION.
<br />4. EACH SUBCONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR HAVING A THOROUGH
<br />KNOWLEDGE OF ALL DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS IN THEIR
<br />RELATED FIELD. THE FAILURE TO ACQUAINT HIMSELF WITH THIS
<br />KNOWLEDGE DOES NOT RELIEVE HIM OF ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR
<br />PERFORMING HIS WORK PROPERLY. NO ADDITIONAL
<br />COMPENSATION SHALL BE ALLOWED BECAUSE OF CONDITIONS THAT
<br />OCCUR DUE TO FAILURE TO FAMILIARIZE WORKERS WITH THIS
<br />KNOWLEDGE.
<br />5. THE EXISTING BUILDING SHALL BE PROTECTED FROM MOISTURE,
<br />DUST AND DEBRIS. INSTALL DUST PARTITIONS OR DRAPES AS
<br />SHOWN OR AS REQUIRED TO KEEP DUST AND MOISTURE FROM
<br />WALMART PREMISES.
<br />6. ANY DAMAGE TO WALMART PROPERTY WHICH OCCURS DURING THE
<br />PROCESS OF CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE REPAIRED AT NO
<br />ADDITIONAL COST TO WALMART; THIS INCLUDES ALL MERCHANDISE.
<br />CONTRACTOR SHALL PAY WALMART THE COST FOR ALL DAMAGED
<br />MERCHANDISE.
<br />7. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR RECEIVING,
<br />HANDLING, AND STORAGE OF OWNER FURNISHED EQUIPMENT.
<br />CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE DELIVERY DATE CHANGES WITH
<br />WALMART REFRIGERATION ADMINISTRATOR. CONTRACTOR SHALL
<br />PROVIDE EITHER ON -SITE STORAGE CONTAINERS AND/OR OFF -SITE
<br />STORAGE FOR OWNER FURNISHED EQUIPMENT AND ANY OTHER
<br />CONSTRUCTION ITEMS. CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE LOCATION
<br />OF ANY ON -SITE STORAGE CONTAINERS WITH STORE MANAGEMENT
<br />PRIOR TO PLACEMENT. CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR
<br />SECURITY AND CONDITION OF OWNER FURNISHED EQUIPMENT KEPT
<br />IN STORAGE AND SHALL PROVIDE PERSONNEL TO RECEIVE AND
<br />MOVE EQUIPMENT.
<br />8. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE TO MAINTAIN THE
<br />INTEGRITY OF ALL EXISTING SECURITY SYSTEMS. THE CONTRACTOR
<br />SHALL OBTAIN PERMISSION FROM THE WALMART STORE MANAGER
<br />PRIOR TO THE MODIFICATION OF ANY EXISTING SECURITY SYSTEM
<br />FOR THE OPENING (DEMOLITION) OF ANY EXTERIOR WALL.
<br />9. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL KEEP THIS AREA CLEAN AND FREE OF
<br />DEBRIS AND IS TO REMOVE ALL TRASH AND DEBRIS FROM THE
<br />CONSTRUCTION AREA DAILY. NO FLAMMABLE MATERIALS OR LIQUIDS
<br />MAY BE STORED IN THE EXISTING BUILDING OR IN THE NEW
<br />ADDITION.
<br />10. REMOVE ANY EXISTING ITEMS, SERVICES, FINISHES/OR SURFACES
<br />AS REQUIRED FOR THE INSTALLATION OF NEW CONSTRUCTION.
<br />11. PROVIDE FURRING FOR CONDUITS AND PIPING, SHOWN OR NOT,
<br />AND FINISH OUT FURRING TO MATCH ADJACENT EXISTING FINISHES.
<br />12. REPAIR, REROUTE, AND EXTEND ALL SERVICES, PIPING, CONDUIT
<br />OF EXISTING ITEMS AND EQUIPMENT AS REQUIRED DURING THE
<br />CONSTRUCTION PROCESS FOR THE COMPLETE INSTALLATION AND
<br />OPERATION OF NEW EQUIPMENT. THIS INCLUDES ALL ITEMS
<br />SHOWN OR NOT SHOWN ON THE DRAWINGS.
<br />13. RESET EXISTING EQUIPMENT OR RELATED ITEMS AS REQUIRED FOR
<br />PROPER OPERATION. WHERE EXISTING FINISHES ARE TO REMAIN,
<br />CLEAN, REPAIR, PATCH, AND/OR RE -PAINT AS NECESSARY TO
<br />BLEND WITH ADJACENT SURFACES.
<br />14. CONSULT WALMART MECHANICAL SERVICES CONSTRUCTION MANAGER
<br />FOR COMPLETE APPLICABLE SCOPE OF WORK. THE CONTRACTOR
<br />SHALL MAINTAIN THE REQUIRED NUMBER OF EXITS WITHIN THE
<br />STORE. MAINTAIN EXIT SIGNS AND EMERGENCY LIGHTING AT ALL
<br />TIMES, AS REQUIRED BY THE LOCAL BUILDING OFFICIAL.
<br />15. WALMART SHALL OCCUPY THE BUILDING DURING CONSTRUCTION.
<br />THE CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WITH WALMART STORE
<br />MANAGER AND THE WALMART MECHANICAL SERVICES CONSTRUCTION
<br />MANAGER ALL CONSTRUCTION PROCEDURES WHICH WILL INTERFERE
<br />WITH THE NORMAL DAILY OPERATIONS OF THE STORE.
<br />16. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN PERMISSION FROM WALMART FOR
<br />ALL INTERRUPTIONS OF UTILITY SERVICES TO THE EXISTING
<br />BUILDING PRIOR TO THE INTERRUPTION. ACCIDENTAL
<br />INTERRUPTIONS SHALL BE REMEDIED IMMEDIATELY WITH
<br />APPROPRIATE FORCES.
<br />17. ALL CAP-X REFRIGERATION PROJECTS ARE TO BE BID AS NIGHT
<br />WORK. THE CONTRACTOR IS TO ASSUME ALL WORK IS TO BE
<br />CONDUCTED ONLY AS OVERNIGHT WORK. SOME WORK MAY BE
<br />ALLOWED DURING REGULAR WORKING HOURS TO FACILITATE
<br />COMPLETION SCHEDULES. WORK WILL ONLY BE PERMITTED DURING
<br />REGULAR WORKING HOURS WITH THE STORE MANAGEMENT'S
<br />AND/OR MECHANICAL SERVICES CONSTRUCTION MANAGER'S
<br />PERMISSION. WORK TO BE PERFORMED ON THE EXTERIOR OF THE
<br />BUILDING, ROOFTOP, BACK ROOM, BEHIND DUST WALLS, AND
<br />WORK THAT DOES NOT SIGNIFICANTLY INTERFERE WITH STORE
<br />OPERATIONS MAY BE ALLOWED WITH THE STORE MANAGEMENT'S
<br />AND/OR MECHANICAL SERVICES CONSTRUCTION MANAGER'S
<br />PERMISSION. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PAY FOR ADDITIONAL
<br />SECURITY PERSONNEL TO SUPERVISE ACCESS TO THE BUILDING AS
<br />REQUIRED BY STORE MANAGEMENT. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE
<br />ALL SAFETY EQUIPMENT AND EXTERIOR LIGHTING AS REQUIRED TO
<br />MAINTAIN A SAFE WORKING ENVIRONMENT FOR WORK REQUIRED AT
<br />NIGHT. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PREPARE, AND DELIVER TO STORE
<br />MANAGEMENT, A SCHEDULE OF WORK FOR THE ENTIRE PROJECT
<br />SCOPE OF WORK. THIS SCHEDULE WILL INCLUDE ALL PHASES OF
<br />WORK TO BE PERFORMED AND SHALL LIST THE START AND
<br />COMPLETION TIMES FOR EACH PHASE OF WORK. THE CONTRACTOR
<br />SHALL UPDATE THIS SCHEDULE WEEKLY AS CONSTRUCTION
<br />PROGRESSES.
