SECTION 0804 HARDWARE <br />D. Pair 2'-6"x6'-8" Solid Core Doors At Telephone Cabinet - Hollow <br />Metal Frame <br />1. Hinges: 1-1/2" pair 4-1/2"x4-1/2" NRP Hager 1279 (each <br />leaf) <br />2. Lock Set: Active leaf -Best 83T Dead lock with Deadbolt - <br />Furnished by owner installed by G.C. Inactive leaf to <br />have surface mounted bolt top and bottom, OFCI. <br />E. SPECIALTIES <br />1. Corner Guards: Aluminum 3"x3" x length required x 0.080 <br />thickness with mitered corners. <br />a. Provide along top edge of toilet rooms. <br />b. Provide at outside corner of toilet room <br />c. Provide at both jambs and head of exit doors. <br />d. Vertical member shall be one piece in length. <br />2. Chain Guards At Overhead Door:Aluminum 6" wide <br />x 9'-6" x 0.080 thickness <br />a. Provide on chain side of overhead door <br />b. Cut slot at top of guard to allow sprocket wheel to <br />turn freely. Maximum 1" clearance all sides. <br />c. Cut opening at bottom of guard for alarm junction box. <br />3. Vinyl Numbers: Provide vinyl street numbers of the height <br />required by local authority. Numbers are to be located in <br />the glass panel either above or adjacent to the <br />entrance door. Color to be white. <br />4. Signs: Provide a sign over each glass and aluminum door <br />read as follows "THIS DOOR TO REMAIN UNLOCKED DURING <br />DURING NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS". <br />3.00 Installation <br />A. Install all hardware and specialty items in strict accordance <br />with manufacturers printed instructions, utilizing an <br />appropriate concealed fastening system. <br />SECTION 0901 RESILIENT TILE FLOORING <br />1.00 GENERAL: <br />A. Before commencing work check floor for conformance with <br />specification tolerances for levelness (1/8" per 10' plus <br />or minus non cumulative). <br />B. Level floor to this minimum specification prior to <br />installing Tile. <br />C. If leveling is required use Ardex K-15 in strict accordance <br />with manufactures specification requirements <br />D. Lay resilient tile flooring at 65 degrees F. or above. <br />E. All unused tiles to remain in store along with one unopened <br />box of each the color. <br />2.00 MATERIALS: <br />A. Self Leveling Underlayment <br />1. Primer - Ardex P-51 <br />2. Leveler - Ardex K-15 <br />3. No substitutions for above <br />B. Finish Flooring <br />1. Floor tile shall be Armstrong Imperial #51899, Cool White <br />size to be 12"xl2"xl/8". <br />2. Feature tile shall be Armstrong #56806, Red II size to be <br />12"x 12%1/8". <br />3. Base shall be standard top set cove type, 4" high x 0.08" <br />auge vinyl as manufactured by Armstrong or Flex Co., <br />Color Black). <br />4. Adhesive - Armstrong S.515 clear mastic. <br />SECTION 0901 RESILIENT TILE FLOORING (CONT) <br />3.00 INSTALLATION: <br />A. Self Leveling Underlayment <br />1. All ARDEX products shall be installed in strict <br />accordance with manufacutres printed instructions which <br />the contractor shall obtain and have on site prior to <br />commencement of any work. <br />2. Remove ridges and bumps from substrate. Fill low spots, <br />cracks, joints, holes and defects with filler recommended <br />by the manufacturer. <br />2. Run grain or pattern in only one direction (side to side.) <br />3. Open enough tile cartons and mix tile to ensure shade <br />variations do not occur within any one space. <br />4. Lay tiles symmetrically about center line of areas with <br />tiles against walls not less thon*6" wide (see drawings <br />for tile layout.) (Note: roll floor with 250 lb. roller) <br />5. Provide -vinyl edging where edge of tiles are exposed and <br />where tiles abut other floor finishes, unless designated <br />otherwise on Drawings. <br />6. Immediately remove excessive adhesive from visible <br />surfaces. <br />7. Wait at least four days after installation before washing <br />floor, to prevent adhesive bonding problems. <br />4.00 FINAL CLEANING AND WAXING: <br />A. Clean floor with a neutral cleaner: Do not use any type of <br />stripper on the floor. Use Buckeye Blue Cleaner or equivalent <br />B. Floor must be thoroughly clean and dry prior to applying wax. <br />Use an untreated dust mop to sweep floor prior to laying wax. <br />C. Waxing Floor <br />1. "Buckeye Casleguard Wax" shall be supplied by owner and <br />received by contractor. <br />2. Owner will furnish four (4), five (5) gallon Action Packs <br />of Buckeye Castleguard Wax. <br />3. Must use "Buckeye Casleguard Wax". (supplied by owner) No <br />substitutions will be accepted unless a written change <br />order is provided by Architect prior to application. <br />4. Contractor to apply a minimum of four (4) coats of wax and <br />will apply additonal coats until all four (4) Action Packs <br />are utilized completely. <br />5. Allow each coat of wax to dry a minimum of forty five (45) <br />minutes before applying the next coat. <br />D. Allow wax to dry overnight prior to buffing. <br />E. Buff the store prior to use. Use a high speed buffer, minimum <br />1500 rpm. <br />F. Provide empty Castleguard Action Pack boxes at final punch. <br />G.
