Size 2'6" x 3'0" Type "S" galvanized with red oxide primer <br />as manufactured by Bilco Co. <br />B. Install roof scuttle where indicated on Drawings and in <br />accordance with manufacturer's specifications and <br />installation instructions. <br />C. Paint roof hatch black. <br />SECTION 0801 HOLLOW METAL DOORS do FRAMES do WOOD DOORS <br />1. GENERAL: <br />A. Deliver, store and handle doors and frames in a manner to <br />prevent rust and damage. Provide cardboard packaging, <br />separators, banding, spreaders and paper wrappings as required <br />to completely protect doors during transportation and storage. <br />Store doors upright, under cover, in a dry area. <br />2.00 MATERIALS: <br />A: <br />Steel <br />Door Frames: 16 Gage cold -rolled steel in sizes and <br />profiles <br />as shown on drawings. Miter corners, weld and <br />grind <br />smooth. Prepare frames to receive three silencers. <br />Apply <br />a shop coat of baked on rust inhibiting primer. <br />Provide <br />a removable spreader bar welded to bottom of frames <br />for rigidity <br />during transit and handling. Provide anchors <br />as required <br />by all conditions and as indicated on the Drawings. <br />B. <br />Frame <br />Reinforcement: 1. Hinge: 7 gage <br />2. Lock: 12 gage <br />3. Closer: 12 gage <br />4. Hold Open Devices: 12 gage <br />5. Panic Devices: 12 gage <br />C. <br />Steel <br />Doors: 18 Gage bonderized steel permanently bonded to <br />rigid <br />polystyrene foam core. Flush design with seamless <br />faces <br />and edges. 16 gage closer channel top and bottom. <br />Apply <br />shop coat of baked -on rust inhibiting primer. <br />D. <br />Door <br />Reinforcement: 1. Hinge: 7 gage <br />2. Lock: 12 gage <br />3. Closer: 12 gage <br />4. Hold Open Devices: 12 gage min. <br />5. Panic Devices: 14 gage min. <br />E. <br />Wood <br />Doors: Flush, solid core, seven -ply construction. <br />Spec. <br />FPC in accordance with AWI 1300-G-Rotary cut, paint <br />grade <br />birch Face Veneers in accordance with AWI-S-2 standards. <br />3.00 INSTALLATION <br />A. Install frames plumb and square in strict accordance with <br />frame manufacturer's instructions. <br />B. Hang doors level to provide for easy operation. <br />SECTION 0802 OVERHEAD ROLLING DOOR <br />1.00 GENERAL: <br />A. This door is furnished and installed by owner's vendor. <br />Contractor is to furnish and install steel channel angles <br />frame around masonry opening as well as chain guard and <br />threshold as indicated on the Drawings. <br />A. Submit detailed, complete shop drawings executed by the <br />aluminum manufacturer. <br />B. Framing system to be designed for the same windload as the <br />structure. <br />C. Install reinforcement concealed in vertical framing members <br />as required to comply with wind loading. <br />D. Supply an original site specific certificate of compliance, <br />signed by an officer of the aluminum manufacturer that all <br />frame material meets project specifications. <br />2.00 Materials: <br />A. Storefront: <br />1. SYSTEM: Flush glazing, single glazed, unless otherwise <br />noted on Drawings. <br />2. FRAMES: Extruded aluminum 6063-T5 alloy. Compy with section <br />1.00 C. above. <br />3. FINISH: Finish shall be P.P.G. DURANAR (70% KYNAR) Red <br />Exotic # UC45282 XL w/UC51132 clear top coat. <br />4. SEALANT: See Section 0705 <br />3. INSTALLATION: Install per manufacturer's written installation <br />instructions using sub -sill, end dams, water <br />diverters, etc. Installation contractor shall <br />furnish and install all sustem components to <br />provide for a complete project whether the <br />items are specifically shown in contract <br />documents or not. <br />B. Entrance Doors: <br />1. Medium stile, 3 1/2" top rail and stiles and 7 1/2" <br />bottom rail. Clear finish anodized aluminum. Top and <br />bottom ball bearing center pivot sets. <br />C. Glazing: <br />1. Door, Sidelights and Store Front: 1/4" thick clear float <br />glass, tempered or laminated as required by local or <br />national ordinance or code. <br />2. Use high performance evergreen glass as manufactured by <br />Libby Owens Ford in lieu of clear if noted. Refer to <br />Storefront Elevation Sheet. <br />3. Glazing Sealant: General electric 1200 Series silicone <br />sealant or "sili-glaze". <br />4. Insulated Glass: 1" thick overall with 1/4" inch <br />inboard and outboard lites, or use <br />Evergreen Glass on the outboard <br />lite for west exposures or as <br />otherwise noted on Drawings. <br />3.00 PRODUCT HANDLING: <br />A. Protect glass from damage before, during and after <br />installation. <br />B. Remove glass with chipped edges from the site immediately <br />C. Deliver glass with manufacturer's labels attached to each <br />pane. Remove labels immediately prior to final inspection <br />4.00 ACCEPTABLE MANUFACTURERS: <br />A. Framing Systems: <br />1.
