R OUTLETS, SWITCHES, DEVICES, EQUIPMENT, ETC., ARE <br />RIFIED IN THE FIELD AND CHECKED WITH ARCHITECTURAL <br />AND ID DRAWINGS. CONTRACTOR SHALL LOCATE ALL DEVICES UP TO 5 FEET IN ANY DIRECTION AS DIRECTED <br />E. WHERE INSTRUCTIONS OR NOTES ARE INSUFFICIENT TO CONVEY THE INTENT OF <br />THE DESIGN, CONSULT THE OWNER PRIOR TO BIDDING AND INSTALLATION. <br />F. CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR VERIFYING AND COORDINATING THE LOCATIONS OF DEVICES <br />TO BE USED AND COORDINATING THE FINAL LOCATIONS OF ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT WITH MILLWORK, SINKS, <br />BENCHES, COUNTERS AND SHELVING PRIOR TO BIDDING AND INSTALLATION. DIVISION 26 CONTRACTOR SHALL HAVE HAD EXPERIENCE OF AT LEAST THE SAME SIZE AND SCOPE AS <br />THIS PROJECT, ON AT LEAST TWO OTHER PROJECTS WITHIN THE LAST FIVE YEARS IN ORDER TO BE QUAILIFIED <br />TO BID THIS PROJECT. <br />H. CONTRACTOR SHALL AND DOES HEREBY WARRANT ALL MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT FURNISHED UNDER <br />THIS SECTION OF THE SPECIFICATIONS TO BE FREE FROM DEFECTS AND TO FUNCTION OR OPERATE <br />SATISFACTORILY FOR ONE YEAR AFTER FINAL ACCEPTANCE OF THE WORK, AND THAT ANY ITEMS NOT <br />MEETING THIS REQUIREMENT WILL BE MADE GOOD BY HIM WITHOUT COST TO OWNER, PROVIDED SUCH DEFECTS <br />OR FAILURES ARE NOT DUE TO ABUSE, NEGLECT, OR LACK OF REASONABLE AND ORDINARY MAINTENANCE. <br />1. GENERAL: COMPLETE, ZONED, NONCODED, ADDRESSABLE, MICROPROCESSOR BASED FIRE <br />DEFECTION AND ALARM SYSTEM WITH MANUAL AND AUTOMATIC ALARM INITIATION DEVICES <br />LOCATED OUTDOORS SHALL BE SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED FOR EXTERIOR SERVICE. PROVIDE <br />BATTERY BACK-UP BASED UPON TOTAL LOAD PER NFPA 72. ALARM SHALL ACHIEVE A <br />MINIMUM OF 80 DB THROUGHOUT OCCUPIABLE SPACES AND MEET ADA REQUIREMENTS. <br />B. SIGNAL TRANSMISSION: MULTIPLEX SIGNAL TRANSMISSION DEDICATED TO FIRE ALARM <br />SERVICE ONLY. <br />C. ALARM INDICATION: BY TRANSMITTING EMERGENCY ALARMS, SOUNDING INTERNAL AND <br />WEATHERPROOF HORNS, AND ILLUMINATION OF ADA STROBES. <br />D. ALLOW FOR LOADING AND EDITING SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS <br />ES AS REQUIRED. THE SYSTEM SHALL BE CAPABLE OF ON -SITE <br />PROGRAMMING TO ACCOMMODATE SYSTEM EXPANSION AND FACILITATE CHANGES IN <br />OPERATION. ALL SOFTWARE OPERATIONS SHALL BE STORED IN A NON-VOLATILE <br />PROGRAMMABLE MEMORY WITHIN THE FIRE ALARM CONTROL UNIT.
