Refer to panel schedules for ampacities, voltage, phase, NEMA rating, mounting configuration, AIC rating,
and accessories.
K. Lighting contactors shall have 30 amp rated contacts, minimum.
L. Provide a typewritten panel directory for each panelboard or loadcenter with sufficient detail to distinguish
each circuit from all others within the panelboard or loadcenter.
M. Sharing a neutral is permitted for up to three circuits, one per phase, of the same amp rating for 208Y/120V
branch circuits on non -dimmed circuits. Where a shared neutral conductor is used for multiple branch
circuits, contractor shall either group circuits together in panel and provide a manufacturer furnished and
listed handle -tie to simultaneously trip all of the circuits sharing the neutral or provide multi -pole circuit
breakers. Plans may not depict shared neutrals, but they are allowed in accordance with the above
specification.
N. All circuit breakers used for service disconnecting means,1,200 amps and larger, shall have electronic trip
units equivalent to Square D MicroLogic 5.OH (6.OH where GFI is specified). Such breakers shall be
accompanied with a factory installed phase failure relay, Taylor PND-###-T3 or equivalent.
PART 3 - EXECUTION
3.01 INSTALLATION
A. Install panelboards plumb with wall finishes with height 6-6" AFF to top.
B. Provide filler plates for unused spaces in panelboards.
C. Inspect for physical damage, proper alignment, anchorage, and grounding. Check proper installation and
tightness of connections.
D. Rigidly mount disconnects and starters adjacent to load served, maintaining working clearance required by
NEC.
E. Electrical equipment, such as switchboards, panelboards, industrial control panels, meter socket enclosures,
and motor control centers, that are in other than dwelling occupancies, and are likely to require
examination, adjustment, servicing, or maintenance while energized shall be field marked to warn qualified
persons of potential electric arc flash hazards. Provide factory labels to comply.
F. Where the area above the dedicated electrical space above electrical equipment contains systems which
could leak or condensate, provide suitable protection to avoid damage to the electrical equipment.
G. All floor mounted electrical gear is to be installed on 4" tall concrete housekeeping pads.
***END OF SECTION***
SECTION 16500
INTERIOR LIGHTING
PART 1 - GENERAL
1.01 QUALITY ASSURANCE
A.
