<br />2405.1 General. Individual glazed areas including glass mirrors in hazardous locations
<br />such as those indicated in 24052 shall pass. the test. requirements of GPaG Ib--GFR,
<br />Port 1201 or by comparative test shall be proven to produce or ieast equivalent performances.
<br />Exceptions:
<br />I. Polished wire glass installed in fire doors, fire windows and view panels in fire resistant
<br />walls and hazardous locations in 2405.2.1(3) and 2405.2.1(4) shalt comply with AN51 Z47.1.
<br />2. Approved plastic materials used as g€azing in hazardous locations ehall comply with AN51 ZcN.l.
<br />:2405.2 Hazardous Locations
<br />i2-405.2.1 The following shall be considered specific hazardous locations for the purpose
<br />of glazing:
<br />1. 61azin in swinging doors and fixed and gilding panels of sliding
<br />(patio) door assemblies.
<br />2. 6lazin In doors and walls of enclosures for hot tubs, whirlpool5,
<br />sauna &team rooms, bathtubs, showers other svch foNrIties
<br />where such gqlazingq is located 3b in hes 14 mm) or Tess,
<br />measured horizonCally, from a standing or walking Surface within
<br />the encio5ure and where the bottom edgcte of the exposed glazing Is

<br />Exception:
<br />I. &lazing in wails perpendicular to the plane of the door in a closed position In Croup R3
<br />or within dwelling units in Group R2 shall be subject to 2405.2.1(4).

<br />(1525 mm) above the walking surface on the pool side of the gglazing, and (2)
<br />the glazing is within 60 inches (1525 mm) horizontally of the woter's edge of o
<br />swimming pool or spa. This 5hail apply to single glazing and all panes in
